Q:   What is the frequency of the Karnataka PGCET exam?

Karnataka PGCET exam is conducted once every year. The exam score is valid for one exam session only. Karnataka PGCET is an offline exam with as many as 100 MCQs to be answered within 150 minutes.  Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is administered annually by Karnataka Examination Authority. Karnataka PGCET acts as the gateway exam for admission into PG courses, including MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech. and M.Arch in the state of Karnataka.

Candidates aspiring for MBA admissions via KEA PGCET 2027 must meet the eligibility conditions before they apply for the exam. KEA administers the Karnataka PGCET 2027 exam for MBA (both full time and part time) as welll as MCA admissions.Check Karnataka PGCET eligibility criteria 2027 below:

  • Academic Qualification: Candidates must have completed a minimum three year of a degree programme.
  • Minimum Aggregate Score Requirement: All UR category candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved category candidates).
  • Work Experience Details (Only applicable for candidates aspiring for part-time MBA):
    • Candidates must be employeed to be eligible for part-time MBA admissions via PGCET 2027.
    • A minimum of three years of work experience must be obtained on or before July 31, 2027.
    • The current employer must be located within a 40-kilometre radial distance from the desired MBA college.

Karnataka PGCET Registration 2027

KEA facilitates Karnataka PGCET registration on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. Candidates will have to apply for the KEA PGCET 2027 exam on or before the deadline. Candidates have to pay the PGCET registration fee to submit the online application form. During the registration process, candidates have to upload ther photograph, and signature in the specified format. Besides the personal details, candidates are required to submit test centre preferences during the registration process. KEA allocates a test centre as per the exam city preference.

Qualifying Karnataka PGCET is compulsory for Karnataka domicile students to get admission in M.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. For others, it is not compulsory and they can get admission based on GATE score or through Management Quota.
