NMAT 2025 Exam Structure Analysis

NMAT exam analysis 2025 is out now. NMAT test window is available until December 19. Candidates had to choose the exam date while booking the slot after registration. One can appear for NMAT exam thrice within the test window. Each candidate appearing for NMAT encounters different questions. Since NMAT is an adaptive test, the difficulty level of the NMAT question paper adjusts with every response.

NMAT 2025 exam analysis is based on the feedback from the candidates who appear for the NMAT exam. Candidates who took the exam had to answer questions from three sections, namely Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. Each section of NMAT exam had a time limit. Candidates had to choose the order of three sections before the start of the exam. As many as 108 questions are to be answered within 120 minutes. NMAT exam difficulty 

In the NMAT exam, a total of 108 questions are to be answered within 120 minutes. Overall candidates found the NMAT 2025 exam difficulty on similar lines to the previous exam session.

NMAT Exam Analysis 2025 Highlights

Highlights of NMAT exam was as follows:

  • Quantitative Skills was difficult
  • DI was calculation-intensive
  • Difficult questions from bi-quadratic equations in quant
  • DI was lengthy
  • More weightage to critical reasoning 
  • Many questions on course of actions, inferences, assumptions, fact statement based questions
  • Couple of questions on logical venn diagrams
  • 2 puzzles, with 1 input-output question, and one puzzle on seating arrangement.
  • Three RC in the exam. Passages were not lengthy and were doable.
  • One RC was on magnets, one RC was on education system in India and evolutions.
  • 4 Parajumbles in the exam
  • Parajumbles were lengthy with 4-5 statements.
  • Fill in the blanks had phrases similar to those appearing in GMAT exam.
  • PNC and Probability had 5-6 questions.

GMAC conducts the NMAT exam for MBA admission in India and abroad. Based on feedback from test takers of the past exam sessions, test takers found the exam to be moderate to tough in terms of difficulty standards. If compared with other MBA entrance exams, NMAT is comparatively easy as the candidates have the liberty to appear for the test three times and use the best scores for admission. Candidates can schedule the exam based on their convenience. However, the level of difficulty can vary from year to year. Success in any entrance exam ultimately depends on the candidate's preparation and performance on the exam day.

Q:   How to prepare for Quantitative & Numerical Ability in NPAT?

To solve the questions in this section of NPAT exam, candidates must prepare for various mathematical formulas. Candidates find questions from different topics, like Percentage, Profit and Loss, Discount, Compound Interest & Annuities, Ration and Proportions, Basic Algebraic Identities, Linear equations, Measures of Dispersion, Mean, Mode, Identities, Heights, and other important topics. As NPAT is a speed-based test, test takers must learn the shortcut formulas. This can turn out to be handy to derive answers in a short span of time.

NMAT 2025 Exam Structure Analysis

NMAT exam structure, also known as NMAT exam pattern, is defined by GMAC. NMAT exam score is scaled between 36 to 360 marks. Each section of NMAT is scaled between 12 and 120 marks. All three sections of the NMAT exam have 36 questions each. Each section of the NMAT exam varies with the sectional time limit. Q:   How to prepare for Verbal Reasoning section in NPAT?
A:

While preparing for this section of NPAT exam, candidates must recognise grammatical structure and usage, use prepositions, determiners, connectives, tenses appropriately. Candidates must know the meanings of underlined words in sentences, and use of appropriate words in given context. While solving questions from the reading comprehension section, candidates must be quick in locating information, ideas, identify and interpret relationships, moods, characteristics, tone of the passage, and the central theme and evaluate given passage.

NMAT 2025 Test Window Available until December 19

GMAC is conducting NMAT 2025 exam for a 44-day test window. NMAT exam started on November 5 and candidates could choose any test date on or before November 19. Candidates submitting the responses after each attempt will find their score on the screen immediately. NMAT scaled scores are released inside the dashboard within 48 hours of the exam attempt.

Soon after the first exam attempt, candidates find the NMAT retake registration window activated inside the login dashboard. Candidates can register for the second attempt at NMAT, followed by choosing the desired exam date. Date for the next attempt should lie at least 15 days after the first attempt.
