Failure is nothing, it is just a continuous process of getting success. As of now, you must have heard the spider story, so believe in it. If you fail then stand again with more power and knowledge. After you have appeared for the XAT 2020 exam and if your score is not up to your expectations, remember, it is not the end of the road. Here are the three questions that you must lookout for.
Explore popular MBA colleges for you
How to deal with failure?
If you are not able to crack XAT then it’s not a failure as there are other options too. There are plenty of others such as CAT, SNAP, IIFT, NMAT, GMAT, CMAT, etc. So, better apply for all the other options as well. Give your best in the other if you fail in one. Don’t panic. Don’t think too much as your friends will be way ahead of you then. Prepare for another year. Apply all of your experiences. If you have decided to pursue an MBA then you can find some decent colleges such as HU, PU or central universities that take lesser cut-offs with the similar course structure.
How to shortlist good MBA colleges that accept different percentile ranges?
There is enough data regarding last year’s college wise cutoff. Schools such as SPJIMR Mumbai and IIM Rohtak take percentile in the range of 85-86. So, if you want to pursue MBA immediately then you can find based upon your comfort zone and percentile.
How can you increase your score?
As a student, I have also faced problems like you. However, if you work hard only for one year (not even one year, maybe around six months) then you can get a prestigious college. After getting a prestigious college, you can secure your career. So, have your aim to secure your career and proceed.
- Make a goal
- Work for it
- Grab the opportunity
I would like to summarise here, see the dream, make a goal, feel yourself at that position and then work for it. If you can feel it then you may succeed.

Yes, XAT essay writing round can be considered tough, given that you have to present your point with clarity, examples and convincing arguments - all in limited word count. You need to have a lot of practice in writing short, clear and logically structured essays.

XAT cut offs for all colleges are not fixed by XLRI. Every score accepting college fixed XAT cut offs individually and independently.
