Students must follow follow a FMGE multi-step online process that involves registration, updating in detailed information, uploading specific documents through application correction window. Once registration is over, then NBEMS opens application correction window.

FMGE 2025 application correction window will be opened in online mode only. Students can correct their information by visiting website.

FMGE-application-correction
The FMGE 2025 application correction window is open to all students who made any mistakes while filling out the application form. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will open the correction window after FMGE registration process is completed. There are multiple FMGE December 2025 application correction windows that will be released by NBE. The authorities will first open an edit window for all payment success applications. It can be done between December 9 to 11, 2025. The information that can be edited in this window is everything except Name, Nationality, Email, Mobile number, and Test City. 
Once FMGE December edit window is closed, the authorities will open the final selective edit window. Students will be able to rectify deficient/incorrect images during this period. It can be done between December 29 to 31, 2025. The types of documents that can be reuploaded during this period are photographs, signatures, and thumb impressions. All those students who will fill application form correctly will only be eligible to appear in FMGE exam. NBEMS will conduct exam across all exam centres in India on January 17, 2026.

Q:   Do I need to fill FMGE application form in a single go?
A: 

It is not necessary. Candidates can make registration and generate login ID and password one day and fill application form another day as well. However, candidates are advise to complete the process in a single day so that he/she may not waste another day for same work. Instead he/she can focus on preparation for FMGE. Online registration is mandatory to submit FMGE application form. Candidates have to pay INR 7,080 as exam fee to submit the application form. Without fee, application form will not be accepted by NBE. FMGE admit card is issue to candidates who apply successfully in the given deadline.

Q:   Can your FMGE application form get rejected?
A: 

NBE informs the candidates via emails stating the changes required in the documents uploaded at the time of filling the application form. As per the guideline of NBEMS, some candidates fail to upload their photographs, signatures, and/or thumb impressions as per the prescribed Image Upload Instructions. Such candidates are required to rectify the image (s) in their application form during the selective and final edit window. In case the candidate fails to make requisitie changes, then his/her FMGE application form is subject to rejection or the candidates will not be issued admit card for appearing in the exam. 

Q:   What details are required for FMGE registration?
A: 

Candidates need a valid email ID and mobile number for FMGE registration. Apart from email ID and mobile number, candidates have to provide his/her name, date of birth, nationality, gender for registration. After successful registration, a login ID and password is generate.

Process to FMGE registration are given below:

  • Go to official website, nbe.edu.in
  •  Select “FMGE”
  • Under link sections, click on “New Registration”
  •  Read the instructions carefully and select “Close”
  • Enter details such as name, date of birth etc.
  • Enter Captcha and Submit
  •  User ID and password will be sent to registered email Id and password

How to edit FMGE Application Form

Applicants can follow the below given process to edit FMGE correction form: 

1. Go to FMGE portal - natboard.edu.in

2. Find the link related to FMGE December session application portal.

3. Login portal with user ID and password. 

4. Now complete the application correction. 

Students must correct the application process, which is either filling in details or uploading documents.

Photograph

The photograph should be colored and without borders. It should have a white background. It should not be older than 6 months. It must have the candidate's name and the date of capturing at the bottom.

Thumb impression

It must have a white background. The impression should be clear without borders

Singature

Students should not do overwriting. It should be on white paper. Applicants need to use a black/ blue pen only. Signature in capital letters will be rejected

Q:   How much time does it take to prepare for FMGE exam?
A: 

Candidates pursuing medical degree outside India, if wish to practice medicine profession in India can start preparing for the FMGE exam much before applying for it. There is no defined timeframe which a candidate need to prepare for the exam. The syllabus more or less remains the same and the topics are also covered in the syllabus which is taught at the MD level. FMGE screening test is sought after to seek the medical licensing to practice Doctoral profession in India. This mandates an aspirant to score minimum 50% marks to be able to pass the exam.

Q:   Is FMGE exam difficult to crack?
A: 

FMGE exam is of moderate difficulty level as per the student reaction and expert exam analysis derived from top coaching institutes and the evaluators. A candidate need to focus on FMGE exam preparation around solving the multiple-choice questions. As there is no negative marking in the exam, this makes it easy for candidates to attempt the entire question paper. However, a minimum of 50% marks needs to be scored in order to receive the Pass Certificate from NBEMS

Common Mistakes Rectified during FMGE Correction 

Candidates often use the FMGE application correction window to fix the following common errors:

Serial Number Mistakes Detailed Description
1 Image Upload Issues The most frequent correction is related to photograph specifications. The NBEMS mandates a recent color photo with a white background that includes the candidate's name and date of capture printed at the bottom. The window allows candidates to re-upload images that failed this validation.
2 Spelling Errors Minor typos in parents' names or communication addresses can be fixed.
3 Category Change If a candidate initially applied under the General category but later obtained a valid EWS, OBC, SC, or ST certificate, they can update their category status.

Students must note that all the deformities, academic details, and documents must be submitted within the given period of time. In case any applicant fails to produce documents, then the students will not be eligible to appear in the exam. He/She will not be issued FMGE admit card 2025 under any circumstances. The FMGE exam is conducted twice every year. The NBEMS conducts this entrance exam to practice a medical degree in India.

The FMGE cutoff is released once the FMGE results are released. Once the FMGE cutoff is out, those who beat the cutoff list will be called for the counselling process. Students must score a minimum of 150 out of 300 to be able to beat the cutoff.

The FMGE exam has 300 MCQs worth 300 marks. Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. The exam is divided into two sections, Part A and Part B; each section is of 2 and a half hours. To pass, one must score 150 out of 300.
