Assess your preparedness: First and foremost, aspirants should take a stock of things. They need to assess their preparation level by analysing the chapters and topics they have already completed from the NEET syllabus along with the pending chapters. Within the completed chapters, NEET aspirants have to assess how well prepared they are with those topics. In case they have any doubts, they should address those and clear the concepts with the help of their mentors. They must ensure that the topics they have completed are fully prepared and there is no confusion or queries left in those.

Review weak areas: This is the best time to review weak areas and try to improve those. The basic method is to identify the reason of weakness. It can either be a lack of conceptual clarity or due to the toughness of the subjects or topics. Either way, one has to analyse the root cause of weakness and approach it strategically. Aspirants can take the guidance of their mentors, seniors or fellow NEET takers to overcome their weaknesses. Since the syllabus is vast, it is not possible to complete the entire syllabus. They should go through previous years’ NEET analysis and check which are the important topics. They can leave out some chapters if they are not given much weightage in the exam.

Revise your strength areas: While focusing on the weak areas, they should not stop preparing for their strength areas or be too confident to leave them out for the last moment. Regular revision and practice from the strong areas will help them prepare in a balanced manner. In case aspirants leave the topics from their strength areas for the last moment, they might lose touch and have to start all over again. Hence, regular revision and practice is a must.

Solve previous years’ question papers: Solving previous years’ question papers can help students in multiple aspects. Not only will they know about the question types, but the various topics that are covered in the NEET question papers and the section-wise difficulty levels as well. Regular practice will help them get prepared for the actual exam and also help them identify areas that need to be improved.

Take regular mock tests: Taking sectional or full-length NEET mock tests in a proctored manner is an important preparation tool, especially during the last leg of preparation. Candidates should make a plan to take mock tests at least thrice a week and get those analysed by their mentors after every test. Taking and analysing mock tests will help them assess their preparation level and also aid in preparing for the exam taking plan for the actual exam day.
