NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) - UG 2018 was held on May 6 for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses offered by government and private medical colleges in India. Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the exam was held in 11 languages: English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil and Telugu. The question paper comprised a total of 180 questions, categorised into three different sections - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). NEET 2018 Question Paper Analysis
According to experts, the difficulty level of the NEET 2018 was moderate to difficult. The Physics section was of moderate difficulty level. While few questions were direct and formula-specific, some were lengthy and time-consuming. 20 questions were from Class 11, whereas 25 questions were from the Class 12 syllabus. The Chemistry section was tough. The Physical Chemistry part was from the higher difficulty level and the Inorganic and Organic Chemistry questions were easy to moderate. The Biology section was of easy difficulty level. Out of 180 questions, 18 were easy, 60 moderate and 12 tough. Around 56 per cent of questions were from Class 11 and 44 per cent were from the Class 12 syllabus.

No. NEET is mandatory for all MBBS admissions in India, government, private, deemed, or minority institution. The Supreme Court of India has made NEET the single entrance exam for all UG medical admissions across the country, and there are no exceptions.
