Haryana Board Exam 2025: The first day of the Class 12 Haryana board exams was marred by widespread cheating, with 37 cases of malpractice reported from several districts, including Nuh, Sonepat, Bhiwani, and Charkhi Dadri. These incidents prompted immediate action from the Haryana Board, resulting in the relieving of two exam superintendents due to negligence.
Cheating Scenarios: Wall Scaling, Answer Sheets Thrown, and Paper Leaks
In numerous exam centres, including those in Nuh, Sonepat, and Bhiwani, individuals were seen scaling school walls to pass chits to students. Videos shared from various centres depicted people throwing answer sheets inside classrooms, while others were seen solving the question paper outside the exam centre.

Exam Paper Leaks and Suspicious Activity in Nuh and Palwal
In a disturbing development, the English question paper was leaked at a government school in Palwal. A similar incident was also reported from a senior secondary school in Tapkan village, Nuh. In one instance in Nuh, a man was caught using a ladder to pass chits to students. In Sonepat’s Jatwara village, groups of youths were seen solving the paper just 50 metres away from an exam centre, further highlighting the extent of the cheating.
Board Acknowledges Incidents, Action Taken Against Involved Personnel
A senior Haryana Board official acknowledged the cheating incidents that occurred across several districts. However, when questioned about the situation in Nuh, District Education Officer (DEO) Ajit Singh explained that he was away in Panchkula for a meeting but assured that strict measures were in place to prevent any malpractice.
The Haryana Board responded swiftly to the alarming situation, relieving two exam superintendents—Arshad Hussain of Jamalgarh Government School and Parveen of Panhera Khurd Government School—for their negligence in maintaining exam integrity. Additionally, FIRs were registered against the exam superintendents and teachers involved in the paper leak cases in Palwal and Tapkan.
Tightened Vigilance Expected Moving Forward
Following these incidents, the Haryana Board has vowed to implement stricter measures to curb malpractice in the ongoing board exams. The board spokesperson confirmed that vigilance at exam centres would be heightened to ensure the fairness and integrity of the remaining exams.
HBSE Class 12 date sheet 2026 is expected to be out very soon in November 2025. The Haryana board 12th date sheet will be released on the official website- bseh.org. The Haryana board class 12 examinations will likely be conducted between Feb 27 and the April 2, 2026 in pen and paper format.
Students are suggested to finish the HBSE syllabus and know the exam pattern well before the release of the date sheet. Also, solve and practice as many HBSE Class 12 sample papers for better preparation of the exam.
