Karnataka Bandh on March 22! Pro-Kannada groups have called for the protest in response to the Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill and a recent incident in Belagavi, where a bus conductor was attacked for not speaking Marathi. Parents, students, and educators are anxiously awaiting an official announcement on whether schools will remain open or close.
Karnataka SSLC Exam 2025 to be affected? The upcoming Karnataka bandh, scheduled for March 22, has raised uncertainty regarding school operations across the state.
Impact on School Exams and Classes
The bandh comes amid the ongoing board exam 2025 season, but the effect on board examinations is expected to be minimal. The Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams are scheduled for March 21, and no Karnataka SSLC exams 2025 are planned for March 22, the day of the bandh. However, several schools have exams for lower classes, which will proceed as scheduled. According to the Associated Managements of Private Unaided Schools in Karnataka, the association has decided not to postpone or cancel these exams, in order to avoid disrupting students’ schedules.

Transportation Woes for Students and Parents
Transportation in Bengaluru is expected to be severely affected on March 22 due to the bandh. Ola and Uber cab services will be unavailable as drivers have pledged their support for the shutdown. Additionally, a significant number of autorickshaws, which many students rely on for their daily commute, may not operate. Although the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has not confirmed whether its buses will run, limited transportation options may create difficulties for students trying to reach their schools safely.
Schools Consider Alternate Arrangements
As the bandh approaches, many schools are taking a cautious approach, waiting for further developments before making a final decision on operations. In an effort to minimize disruptions, some schools may consider conducting online classes or rescheduling internal exams. Parents and students are advised to stay in close contact with school authorities for any updates regarding the status of schools on March 22.
Safe Travel Priority
Usually Karnataka SSLC exam evaluation is not too strict. The pass percentage of Karnataka SSLC exam 2025 was 62.34%. Students need not worry about strict evaluation for Karnataka 10th exam 2026. With proper preparation, they can easily clear the Karnataka 10th exam 2026.
The decision on whether Karnataka schools will remain open or closed will depend largely on the participation in the bandh and the availability of safe transportation for students. As Bengaluru and other cities across Karnataka brace for possible disruptions, ensuring students' safety and minimizing any adverse effects on their education remain the top priorities for school authorities.
With tensions rising, both parents and students are hoping for clarity in the coming days regarding school schedules and transportation services. Schools across the state are preparing contingency plans, but much will depend on the evolving situation surrounding the bandh.
