With any other exam, the SSLC Examination requires a lot of preparation as the students have to cover the full portion of Karnataka Class X syllabus. The few tips stated below will be quite helpful for the students in their preparation. 

1. Studying requires a lot of dedication and concentration. You should give your hundred percent for the exams as they will help you in your career. Exams should be taken seriously, but at the same time, students should not get overstressed and burdened. Give your best shot!
2. It is not advisable to start studying just one month before the exam. Students need to start studying from the beginning of the year. This way they will not be worried about finishing the portion in a few months, rather they will be relaxed and confident for the exams. 
3. Students need to be familiar with the Karnataka SSLC exam pattern and the marking scheme. Paper has to be completed within three hours. Not only that, 15 minutes should be kept for checking the answers to spot errors and silly mistakes. Time management is key.
4. The Internal Assessments are crucial as for most of the papers; they are given 20 marks out of the total score. It should not be taken lightly as internal marks can improve the overall score in a subject. Take full advantage of it. Many students score high marks by performing well in their internals. 
5. Practising the previous year's questions papers is of paramount importance. It gives the students practice and also helps them get familiar with the paper pattern. 6. Read the question and properly comprehend what is being asked before answering it. Read the question at least two times to be sure. Look at the weightage each question carries and write accordingly. Don’t write extra as it means losing valuable time to write other questions. 
7. The answers must be written in proper and legible handwriting as it becomes really difficult for the examiner to understand shabby handwriting and he/she can even cut marks for it. Presentation is key when each examiner per day is correcting hundreds of papers. 
8. Refer mostly to the prescribed books as it covers the entire syllabus. Don’t refer to too many reference books as doing so will leave you confused. 
9. Don’t waste too much time on a single question. Move on to the easier questions and after completing the rest of the paper, try to attempt that question(s) which you find difficult. 
10. Keep a calm mind while writing the paper. Don’t panic as it can distract you and cause you to goof up your paper.
