In a bid to align with the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020, the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) plans to conduct the upcoming TBSE Class 10, 12 board exams 2025 earlier, with the exams scheduled to begin in the third week of February 2025.

TBSE Board Exams 2025: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) is set to conduct the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations likely in February 2025, marking a shift from the traditional March timeline. TBSE president Dhananjoy Ganchoudhury confirmed the change, noting that this move is part of the broader national shift to align the state board exams with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in line with the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020, according to an IE report.

“We conducted our last board examinations in March. However, after the implementation of NEP-2020, the TBSE, like all boards across the country, is trying to conduct the board exams earlier, on par with the CBSE,” said Ganchoudhury, addressing the media at the TBSE office. The aim is to streamline the academic calendar and ensure that students across the country are evaluated in a more synchronized manner.

Among these, 2,152 students are from the Science stream, while 2,806 candidates are enrolled in vocational subjects across 75 schools.

For Class 10, 33,800 students have enrolled to sit for the board exams. Additionally, there are 8,139 vocational candidates spread across 239 schools offering vocational subjects. This reflects the growing number of students opting for vocational education alongside traditional academic courses.
