The Delhi High Court will now take up the petitions related to the Common Law Admission Test for Postgraduate courses (CLAT PG 2025) on May 2, 2025. The matters, which were scheduled for consideration earlier, did not come up for hearing on April 21, and have since been adjourned to the next available date.

A batch of petitions challenging certain questions and the evaluation process of the CLAT PG 2025 exam had been filed before the court, seeking clarity and relief for affected candidates. These petitions are separate from the ones related to CLAT UG 2025, for which a verdict is expected on April 23.

The current bench comprising Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela is overseeing both UG and PG matters concerning CLAT 2025. While the court had earlier prioritized the undergraduate petitions due to their larger pool of aspirants and immediate impact on undergraduate law admissions, the postgraduate pleas are now set to be heard independently.

The Supreme Court had previously transferred all such matters from various high courts across the country to the Delhi High Court, ensuring uniform adjudication. Petitioners in the PG cases have raised concerns regarding allegedly incorrect questions, discrepancies in the official answer key, and evaluation fairness.

The outcome of the upcoming hearing could affect admissions to postgraduate law programs in National Law Universities (NLUs), which rely on CLAT PG scores for their LLM admissions.

The Delhi High Court is expected to issue directions or observations following the hearing on May 2, which may impact the admission timeline or lead to clarifications from the Consortium of National Law Universities.
