The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially released the revised results for the Common Law Admission Test Postgraduate (CLAT PG 2025) along with Final Answer Key. Candidates can now check their updated scores and qualifying status on the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2025.
The CLAT PG counselling 2025, originally scheduled months ago, was deferred by nearly five months due to discrepancies in the answer key and final result. The delay stemmed from a legal petition that initially reached the Delhi High Court but was later referred to the Supreme Court, which eventually redirected it back to the High Court for a detailed hearing.
Key Judicial Directions & Question-Wise Updates
The Delhi High Court’s verdict included detailed scrutiny of multiple questions and guided the Consortium to implement the following changes:
- Question 56 – Withdrawn: Due to inconsistencies in the options provided in the master question booklet.
- Question 21 – Correct Answer Changed to Option ‘C’: The Court disagreed with the Consortium’s earlier answer (Option ‘B’), finding Option ‘C’ to be more aligned with the judicial principles regarding the definition of “industry” in the context of labor law.
- Question 57 – No Change: The Court accepted the Consortium’s stance that Option ‘A’ was correct despite the passage being paraphrased and not a direct extract.
- Question 98 – Correct Answer Revised to Option ‘B’ – Salmond: The Court found the Consortium’s earlier key (Option ‘A’ – Pound) incorrect.
High Court on Objection Fee & Justice Raghuram Committee
The Court also addressed the concern raised by petitioners regarding the Rs. 1000 per-question objection fee, calling it "exorbitant." It directed the Consortium to take this matter up with the committee led by Justice G. Raghuram (Retd.), and follow his recommendations for reform in future CLAT editions.
The Consortium is expected to announce fresh CLAT PG counselling dates shortly. Qualified candidates will be able to register and submit their preferences for LLM programs via the online counselling portal. Candidates are advised to download their revised scorecards and monitor the official website for the latest updates on the counselling process.
