
All India Institute of Medical Science has extended the last date to submit AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 form. Now, candidates can apply for BSc Nursing till May 10, 2026. Earlier, the last date for the online form closing was April 24, 2026. AIIMS Nursing application form is available online. The information bulletin for BSc Nursing admission 2026 is available at aiims.ac.in. The candidates will be allowed to make corrections in some of the rejected applications from May 17 to 19, 2026.
There are 1366 seats under 19 AIIMS across the nation in the BSc Nursing Course and only 30 seats are available in the Post Basic Course under the open category. The AIIMS will conduct both exams separately. The AIIMS Post Basic Nursing exam admit card will be released on May 25 and its exam will be conducted on May 30.
The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 Admit Card will be released on June 19 (tentatively) and the exam will be conducted on June 27, 2026. Both exams will be conducted offline. The result will be announced within a month of the exam and the Counselling schedule will be released.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Hons) is a four-year undergraduate degree programme. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post-Basic) UG degree programme is a two-year degree programme that grants lateral entry to nursing aspirants. In order to get admission, candidates must complete the minimum eligibility requirement as directed by the conducting body.
AIIMS Seats Availability
As per the data mentioned in the prospectus, both courses combined have 1386 seats for all the categories of applicants. For the UR category candidates, 550 seats are available across 19 AIIMS colleges in India. A unique two-stage method is being implemented wherein at the first PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) system is exercised. The second is through basic registration, followed by the Code Generation and Final Registration.

Admissions to AIIMS BSc Nursing programmes involve a set of procedures. From registration to the release of the admit card/hall ticket, to appearing for the national-level entrance exam, and then attending the counselling rounds post the declaration of the result. Below is a brief description of the admission process:
Step 1: AIIMS Nursing for BSc Registration 2026
To start the admission process, candidates first have to register. AIIMS Nursing 2026 for BSc admission involves a two-step registration/application process:

After the application process, the candidates will be required to run through the following process:
Appear for the AIIMS Nursing for the BSc Entrance Exam
AIIMS Delhi conducts the national-level entrance exam. Candidates will be able to appear for the AIIMS BSc Nursing exam seeking admission into the BSc Nursing programme offered by the AIIMS institutes across India. AIIMS will conduct BSc (Hons) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing entrance exams separately on different dates on June 27, 2026, and May 30, 2026 respectively.

The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 result will be declared on the official website of AIIMS via online mode. Candidates will be required to log in to their accounts using their credentials to access their results. Appear for AIIMS Nursing 2026 for BSc Counselling
Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be invited for counselling and the seat allocation process via online mode. Based on the percentile rank and the score, the candidates will be granted admission to their choice of AIIMS institute. The BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing candidates had to appear for the Personal Interview/Assessment scheme through video conferencing mode (online mode) or personally by visiting the allotted venue.

AIIMS nursing exam pattern 2026 has been released by AIIMS Delhi along with brochure. It must be noted that exam pattern for BSc (hons), post-basic, and paramedical courses are different. AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 admit card will be issued by AIIMS Delhi at the official website of the AIIMS exams, aiimsexams.ac.in. The admit card will be released for both the exams separately on the following tentative dates.\:
- The AIIMS Nursing exam (Post Basic) admit card will be released on May 25
- The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 Admit Card will be released on June 19
Without presenting the hall ticket at the test centre, entry for the candidates will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
AIIMS Nursing Test Centre 2026
The AIIMS nursing test centre 2026 will be allotted on the basis of a first-come, first-served basis. The list of test centres will appear on the screen at the time of filling in the application form. Candidates will be allowed to choose the test centre as per their preference (as per their hometown location). Each candidate will get to choose two test city preferences, which cannot be altered later. Hence, candidates must choose the options carefully.
