IBPS exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to select candidates to post of Probationary Officers. The selection of candidates are done through prelims, mains and interview. With just one month to IBPS PO exam, candidates must prepare hard since it is the only way to crack the exam. Candidates need to devote time in revising and practising more and more questions from the different sections. In this article, we have explained how to prepare for IBPS PO in one month. IBPS PO Exam Pattern

IBPS PO prelims exam pattern consists of three sections- Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. Total 100 questions are asked in the exam which candidates need to answer within one hour. Total marks allotted to the test are 100.

The mains exam consists of both objective and descriptive type tests. The objective test is divided into four sections-Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The descriptive section carries questions from English Language (Letter Writing and Essay). The duration of the test is 3 hours 30 minutes. The interview carries 100 marks. How to prepare for IBPS PO in one month?

The following tips will help candidates in preparing for IBPS PO exam in one month.

Analyse the syllabus: You need to be fully aware of IBPS PO syllabus and exam pattern. One needs to understand the topics included, pattern of questions, difficulty level of questions from each paper, easier and difficult topics, etc. This helps candidates to prepare in an organised way.

Identify strong and weak areas: After analysing the syllabus, candidates should identify strong and weak areas within the first week. You should give more time and attention in improving the weak areas and retaining strong ones.

Prepare weekly study schedule: You should chart out a study schedule for one week and follow that diligently. After completing the schedule for the first week, candidates must prepare another schedule for the next week. The schedule should be based on the strengths and weaknesses identified by you earlier.

The syllabus should be covered thoroughly and then you should start revision and start taking mock tests.

Create a fixed routine: You should divide your time for all the papers according to the difficulty level of the topic. By giving time to each subject candidates should know the topic they can score more. You should dedicate one hour to each subject. The routine for each day should be fixed to ensure every topic is covered. After covering each subject, you should practice previous years’ papers for atleast an hour.

Practice mock tests and previous years’ question papers: Practice as many as mock tests and previous years’ question papers as you can to improve your question solving ability and to build accuracy. Also, practicing the previous years’ question papers or mock tests, you will be able to find out the question pattern and difficulty level of questions from each section.
