NDA Shift Timing 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the NDA 2 exam on September 14 in two shifts: morning and afternoon. The Maths exam of the NDA paper is conducted in the morning shift from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., whereas the GAT paper will be held in the forenoon shift from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm. NDA Shift Timing 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the NDA 2 exam on September 14, 2025. NDA 2 shift timings have been announced. The Maths paper of NDA is conducted in the morning shift from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm. The GAT paper is conducted in the forenoon shift from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm. The details related to NDA shift timings are mentioned in the admit card. The reporting time for the morning shift is 9.50 am, whereas it is 1.50 pm for the forenoon shift. 

NDA exam is conducted twice a year by Union Public Service Commission for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). The exam is conducted in two stages: written exam and SSB Interview.

NDA Exam Timing 2025

NDA exam time for forenoon and afternoon shifts is given below.

NDA Exam Pattern 2025

NDA exam pattern is such that it is divided into the written exam and SSB interview. The exam paper of NDA written exam is divided into two parts, GAT and Mathematics. The GAT paper carries a total of 150 questions while the Maths paper carries a total of 120 questions. Each paper of the exam is held for 2 ½ hours. The GAT section carries 600 marks while the Mathematics section carries 300 marks. The GAT section is divided into two parts. Part A comprises English while Part B consists of General Knowledge. The SSB interview carries 900 marks.

NDA Exam Timing 2025: Exam Day Guidelines

NDA exam day guidelines are given below:

  • Candidates can check NDA admit card carefully and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately
  • Mention name, roll number, registration ID and name & year of the examination in all the correspondence with UPSC
  • Bring the printout of NDA admit card along with the original photo identity card
  • Candidates must preserve their admit cards till the declaration of the final result
  • Candidates are advised to visit NDA exam centre in advance to familarise themselves with the location to avoid the last minute hassle in their own interest
  • They should reach the exam centre well in advance for frisking
  • Candidates should read the instructions carefully before the exam
  • Candidate should not bring or use any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc., or camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination
  • Use of normal or simple wrist watch by candidates is allowed inside the examination hall. However, use of watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as communication device or smartwatch is strictly prohibited and candidates are not allowed to take such watches into the Examination Rooms/Halls
  • There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by a candidate
  • Answers other than those made by black ballpoint pen will not be evaluated
  • Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/costly items to the exam hall
  • Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card will have to bring a photo identity proof and two passport size photographs one for each session for appearing at the examination with an undertaking
  • Wearing of mask/face cover is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without mask/face cover will not be allowed entry into the venue
  • Candidates, however, will have to remove their masks for verification, whenever required by the exam centre officials
  • Candidates may carry his/her own hand sanitizer (small size) in a transparent bottle
  • Candidates need to follow COVID-19 norms of social distancing as well as personal hygiene inside the examination hall as well as in the premises of the venue

NDA marks are rounded off up to two decimal digits for all stages. This done by applying the standard rounding off principle,
wherever applicable. While applying the tie-breaking principles, the rounded-off marks upto two decimal digits are considered for resolving all tie cases.

In case the aggregate final marks are equal then securing more marks in the written exam are placed in higher rank. Candidates securing more marks in Paper 2 (GAT) are placed in higher rank. Age is also given preference while resolving the ties.
