CTET Exam Analysis 2023 Paper 2
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the 17th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on August 20, 2023. The CTET 2023 Paper 2 was held from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm. Candidates who appeared for the exam shared that the difficulty level of the CTET question paper 2023 for Paper 2 was moderate. The CTET 2023 Paper 2 comprises a total of 150 MCQs of one mark each. A total of 30 MCQs are asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and Language II and 60 MCQs from Mathematics and Science/ Social Science.

- One mark is awarded for every correct answer in the exam.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect answers in the exam.
- Questions in Paper 2 are based on topics prescribed in the NCERT syllabus for Classes 6 to 8.
- The difficulty level of questions can be up to the higher secondary level.

The CTET answer key 2023 for Paper 2 will be released by the CBSE within 15 to 20 days of the conduct of the exam. Yes, you can apply for CTET Paper 1 only if you make sure that you meet the minimum teacher education requirement for Classes 1 to 5.

The major difference between CTET and UPTET is that when candidates clear the CTET exam, it provides a national-level eligibility certificate that can be used across India, whereas clearing the UPTET exam provides a state-level eligibility certificate that is only valid within Uttar Pradesh state.
