Really good infrastructure and placement in our department with well-qualified faculty members.
Placements: In the 2025 batch of mechanical engineering, around 85% of students got placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. Top recruiters included Ashok Leyland, L&T, and Alstom. Many students also secured internships in core companies for design and R&D roles.
Infrastructure: The department has well-equipped labs with modern tools like CNC machines, 3D printers, and simulation software. Hostels are clean, food quality is very good, and medical facilities are available. There's a strong focus on sports and extracurricular activities.
Faculty: Mechanical engineering department at Chandigarh University boasts a team of highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty members. Teachers are not only academically proficient, many of them holding PhDs and having years of teaching or industry experience, but they are also extremely helpful and supportive towards students. They are always approachable and eager to guide students through academic concepts, research work, and even career-related advice. Teaching quality is commendable, with a good blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, which enhances the overall learning experience.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to go into thermal sector. Events are very good, and campus crowd is good.

Chandigarh University is good for placements.
Placements: Chandigarh University has the best placements in overall Punjab and also has better companies coming for placements like Microsoft, Apple and Google. And for mechanical engineering, there are also coming like Alston, Ashok Leyland and LG Electronics.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of courts and hostels is also good, like they also have so many buildings, like engineering departments are different and low departments are also different and medical facilities are also there. In Chandigarh University, hostels are also good. There are more than 20 hostels on campus and more than 25 hostels outside the campus.
Faculty: The faculty of Chandigarh University is also good there are more than 3000 teachers in Chandigarh University and more than 150 trainers are also there. In Chandigarh University, exams also happen in a monthly schedule and there is mst 1 and MST 2, and there is also an end-of-semester exam and course is also good.
Other: There is a 1,20,000 fee for Chandigarh University of Mechanical Engineering, and there is 1,60,004 for the CSc department. The campus crowd life is also good. There are more than 10,000 students studying.

The brief intro to the Mechanical Department of CU.
Placements: The placements in CU, if I specifically talk about the Mechanical department, are quite good with respect to other departments. The faculty members and even the HoD say that once you are in the mechanical department, consider yourself to be already placed after 4 years of your degree completion, only on the condition that you maintain at least the bare minimum CGPA rating and have at least a few skills required for this field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the hostel is really good compared to others. The food served here is good in my opinion (as someone who has also lived in a PG before). Talking about the facilities, we do not even need to go off campus for anything required for daily needs. Food, daily-use stationery, and other items are readily available inside. The classrooms are also of good quality and better facilities.
Faculty: The faculty in the first year that I got was very good and helpful indeed. They helped in every field required, whether it be in academics, curriculum, or co-curricular activities. The curriculum is great, and much attention is given to other things as well, apart from academics. Exams are held and procured with a very strictness.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue the Merchant Navy in the future, and mechanical engineering seemed to be a good path for that. Choosing CU ultimately was due to the reason of it being affordable in terms of semester fees compared to other colleges and having better facilities and labs as well. If I talk about improvement, much more attention should be given to teaching students technical skills rather than just academics. Apart from this, events, fests, and the campus crowd can be easily seen, noticed, and accessed by anyone around.

Best college offers the best life.
Placements: Placement opportunities are very good in the university, and in my branch, there is almost 100% placement, with hardly any students left to place due to backlog and all. The average package is 5 LPA. If anyone wants to go for an internship, they provide this as well.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, there is a lot of greenery, and campus blocks are very open to light. The library has AC and Wi-Fi facilities, and canteen shops are open all over the university, with the price range also being within budget. Overall, campus life is the best.
Faculty: Faculty members in the university are very nice and understandable. They provide you the best knowledge and ways to go ahead in your journey. They are all highly qualified and degree rank holders, ready to guide you in your journey. Exams are quite difficult.

My university is overall good. It is an environmentally friendly university with good management.
Placements: In my Mechanical Course, the placement is very good. The previous years' placement results are also impressive, with the highest package offered around 24 LPA and an average of around 5 LPA. The university has a 100% placement offer. Many core companies like TATA, JSW, MARUTI SUZUKI, etc., recruit from our college.
Infrastructure: In my Mechanical Course, the labs are very well maintained, and Wi-Fi is provided in every lab. Fully AC labs are available. The medical facilities are also good in the college. The hostel facility is decent, with both fully AC and non-AC rooms provided, and the network service is very good. There is also a gym in the hostel, which is free of cost.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and the management is also good in this college. Teachers motivate the students at every point and provide extracurricular activities. The semester exams are average, and the checking is also lenient. In this university, there are fully experienced and knowledgeable teachers.
