Q: Β  Are NCERT books enough to cover CUET syllabus?
    A:

NTA has mentioned that CUET UG 2026 syllabus will adhere to NCERT syllabus. Hence, it can be assumed that the NCERT books are enough to cover the syllabus of the CUET UG exam. Candidates must note that, CUET exam tests students' understanding of the subject concepts and ability to apply them in various situations.

Therefore, to prepare well and get a good score, it is advised that students refer to other study materials and books designed for national-level competitive entrance exams. The CUET UG syllabus is similar with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus. The chapters and topics are similar to Class 12 syllabus. Unlike other UG entrance exams, CUET UG syllabus does not include Class 11 syllabus.

Honest review of fests and infrastructure.
Placements: For my course, placement opportunities are limited. For commerce courses, the placement opportunities are good. Companies like KPMG, Zomato, Wipro, and Capgemini provide job offers. The average pay is 3-4 LPA, varying by company and role.
Infrastructure: We do not have a hostel, but the college infrastructure is better than other colleges. The canteen is spacious. The library is large and has a variety of books on different subjects. Labs have the necessary technical equipment. Wi-Fi is available.
Faculty: My course teachers are helpful and supportive. The psychology faculty of our college is great. The curriculum is aligned with today's requirements but could be improved to meet industry standards. More practical knowledge should be provided rather than theoretical. Exams are moderate to hard.
Other: There are different societies like departmental, NSS, NCC, cultural, dramatics, music, and ERC. Events are conducted from time to time, and the fests are average.

Extremely dissatisfied with the infrastructure of the college, but happy with the professors.
Placements: In Kirori Mal College, the maths hons course has two sections, each with about 45 students. Placements vary by skills, with the highest ranging from 25 LPA, the lowest being 6 LPA, and the average of about 8 LPA. The course offers wide flexibility, opening doors to exams and opportunities beyond mathematics, including roles at companies like Accenture and PwC. Students may pursue internships during their studies or in later years, often in the second and third years.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Kirori Mal College is absolutely the worst. The food in the canteen is pretty average. The library is good, but the timings are compatible with most students, as it closes by 6 pm. Hostels are decent. The sight of the arts block is extremely sickening. Wi-Fi doesn't work. The mobile network goes off inside the campus. Classrooms don't even have proper fans. In a class of 30 desks, 3 rows, they have 3 fans. They are thinking that AC is far-fetched.
Faculty: Professors are good, helpful, and knowledgeable. They tend to help when in need. The teaching quality is good, and there's always room for improvement. Out of the 3 DSCs, only probability and statistics are the relevant courses to modern times. Elementary Real Analysis is not worth doing. The concepts from Algebra, like group theory, come in handy when learning new concepts.

Neutrally satisfied. Good in terms of surroundings. Poor infrastructure and average facilities.
Placements: Many students in my college have been placed and have placement experience. Around 30 to 40% of my college batch have secured positions in some reputable companies all over India, especially in Delhi. Some top recruiting companies for my course, that is B.Sc. Computer Science, are Accenture, Microsoft, Shops, Meesho, etc. For my course, around 10 to 20% students have got internship. The top roles offered in my course are tech-based.
Infrastructure: The faculty members and infrastructure available for our department, like Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms, are good. We have good Wi-Fi facilities. The labs have working computers and AC, and the classrooms are also average. The library has good working AC and many other facilities. Our college has no hostel facilities. Talking about the food in the mess, it is average in taste and affordable. Medical facilities are available and different facilities for physically challenged students are also available, like special toilets.
Faculty: The teachers are not really knowledgeable, but they are efficiently qualified. They are helpful, but as in my course, their helpfulness is not really useful. They lack teaching skills. The course curriculum is not really relevant as it does not make the students industry-ready, but it only makes the student knowledgeable in a theoretical way and not in a skillful manner. The semester exams in my college are not really difficult. They are average in difficulty level, and the passing percentage is around 40 percent, but attendance is compulsory 70 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to take admission in Delhi University, and the best things about my course are that it provides different knowledge in the tech industry, like coding, which is beneficial in today’s generation job. The things that I wish were better about my course is that it could have provided more practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge. My college has fewer events, and the campus crowd is average. Surroundings are good, and scholarship chances are very less. As in extracurricular activities, our college is not active.

One of the best in academics, the faculty members are really good.
Placements: As far as I am aware, none of the students in my department, B.Sc. (hons)Mathematics, got any placement offers. But in the Department of Commerce and in the Department of Economics, few of the students got placed, as far as I am aware. I am not aware of the packages that were offered to them. I am not aware of the roles offered in those departments.
Infrastructure: All the labs are well-equipped, the library has all the relevant books for our courses, and it is well air-conditioned. Classroom infrastructure is not that good, very few classes are air-conditioned. As a hostel facility is not available for everyone, I did not get the hostel, so I can not tell anything about it.
Faculty: Faculty members are really good, very helpful, and highly knowledgeable. Some of the teachers teach really well. Most of them are PhD holders. Regarding my course, it is more research-oriented than industry relevant, but if you consider the sec courses, they are industry-oriented. Semester exams are not that difficult, most of the questions are based on pyqs only. Rarely does any student fail.

Great faculty and good placement record.
Placements: Around 30-40 per cent of the students get placed every year, with the rest aiming for higher studies. The average package is around 6-7 LPA. The students avail internships mostly from LinkedIn or the societies/clubs they are a part of. There is also a placement/internship cell that provides students with internships based on their course for a corporate background.
Infrastructure: The library at Kirori Mal College is a 3-floor building with the ground and first floor being reserved for the books and the second floor for reading rooms/computer labs. It is quite excellent as there is a massive collection of books and the reading rooms are spacious and ventilated, i.e., perfect for studying. The classrooms are a bit on the older side in terms of infrastructure. The walls are a bit crumbly and cracked. The Wi-Fi is also not as prevalent and often lags at times. Facilities for sports are plenty, with a basketball court, football field and a volleyball court.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and are always approachable for any problem of sorts. The course curriculum is relevant as it makes the student industry-ready, as well as making them research-ready, as the topics are equally distributed in pure and applied fields. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage is around 63%.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics - Batch of 2029
Offered by Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi
    4.4
    5Placements3Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Amazing faculty members but no infrastructure.
Placements: 80 percent of students are placed majorly in B.Com (Hons), Economics Hons, and B.Com. Top recruiters included BCG, Accenture, Deloitte, Future First, and many more. Internships are given at Accenture, Deloitte, and DE Shaw. The roles offered are analyst, researcher, and trainee.
Infrastructure: The facilities for mathematics are amazing. The infrastructure is extremely bad. Classrooms do not have air conditioning. There is cement, ceiling falling, and it is horrendous. The classrooms do not have a projector. Smart classrooms are not available. They can do better with the girls' common room.
Faculty: Teachers are really upto the mark. The teaching quality is top-notch. The course curriculum could have been better when it comes to certain subjects like AEC, SEC, and VAC. The internals are pretty difficult. You cannot pass without genuinely studying given that your course is math.
Other: I chose this course because I was open to exploring and did not want to primarily study only theoretical subjects.
