IPU BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
IP University or IPU BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. The UG-level course is offered across different specialisations, including CSE, AI Machine Learning, etc. It is offered by the IP University and its affiliated colleges. Admission to the programme is based on JEE Main Paper 1 score for all specialisations except Biotechnology. For Biotechnology, a candidate has to appear for IPU CET or CUET.

IPU BTech (Lateral) Admission 2026
Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 from CBSE with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% provided that the candidate has passed each subject separately, and English (core or elective or functional) should be a mandatory subject.

IPU BTech Admission Dates 2026

Getting admission to BTech at IPU University Delhi is not difficult for hardworking students. The IPU University Delhi admissions are based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Main, IPU CET, and others. Candidates willing to get admission through JEE Main must prepare well for the JEE Main exams. The cutoff trend for BTech at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 90378. In 2022, it decreased to 85744. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 90378 to 81426 for OBC, 190098 to 224720 for SC, 662196 to 390021 for ST, 102979 to 101883 for EWS, . IPU BTech course admission is based on an entrance exam, such as JEE Main/CUET/IPU CET. First, you must meet the eligibility criteria. The PU CET admission process is completely online.

Step 2: Shortlisting

Most of the GGSIPU course admissions are based on entrance test scores. GGSIPU usually don't provide any scope of direct admission to the students. Students must clear the entrance examinations to get admission to the available programmes.
