Review of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST).
Placements: In my batch, only around 15-20 students got placed, and most of them were placed in sales and teaching firms like Byju's. I got placed in Extra Marks, and 1-2 students got placed in software companies while only 2 students got placed only in the automobile company, which visited the campus. The placement cell is very poor as until now I haven't got any letter from it regarding my placement, but I got to know that through my friends of the mechanical branch.
Infrastructure: The buildings in the college are just for show, and several fires keep taking place in the university building and tech park. Elevators will only help the students to reach to a few floors while students have to go through stairs to reach the rest of the floors. Hostel elevators mostly work during admissions. Wi-Fi facility is not good. Labs are equipped, but there is no use of them. They just want you to make lab records.
Faculty: Teachers won't help you in anything rather blame every single thing on you. They also corner you until you lose your self-confidence and accept the blame. They will make you write lab records two times, and they will give marks based on your date of submission, not your skills. The course curriculum won't make you industry-ready.
Other: They should make students real engineering rather than they would prefer that each student write records 2 times.
