Satisfied with everything but the hostel food is the worst.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 1 crore by MotorQ. The lowest salary package offered ranges between 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The average salary package offered is nearly 8 LPA. Top roles offered are mostly software engineers. For the placements, many companies visit our college. I am in 3rd year currently so many good companies visit our college for internships.
Infrastructure: Entire infrastructure of the hostel is good. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and everything is fine except for the mess food, it is like the worst. Even after complaining so many times, no one listens to it. But I also heard that for men's hostel, it is much better.
Faculty: Teachers are good. They are qualified enough and knowledgeable. All teachers must be a Ph.D. holder to be admitted at this institute. The curriculum is very relevant to the industry standards. Semester exams are quite tough, but if we study nicely we will easily score good grades.
Other: The college has lots of crowds, it is like nearly 30,000 students on one campus including all types of courses. Events are very good like Riviera and Gravitas. In Riviera, there are singers and the pro-shows are held so it is very good. Extra-curricular activities are also great. We have mandatory extra-curricular courses to be completed as a credit for our degree.

Excellent placements, well-balanced curriculum, and a very lively campus experience!
Placements: I'm currently pursuing a B.Tech in CSE with Business Systems, and our batch has had strong placement numbers so far. Usually, around 90-95% of students from CSBS get placed, with the highest package being offered at 50 LPA. Many receive pre-placement offers from companies they've interned with. The average package is around 4-7 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Microsoft, ServiceNow, JP Morgan, and TCS hire from our course. Common job roles include Business Analyst, Data Scientist, and Software Engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities offered include AC labs and many classrooms to support our learning process. We have campus-wide Wi-Fi, which we can connect to from the library to our hostel rooms. The library is huge, with a wide collection of books, journals, and collaborative spaces for studying and research. The hostel facilities are comfortable, with well-maintained AC and non-AC rooms ranging from single beds to 8 beds. I'm currently in a single room, and it's quite nice for one person to stay comfortable and have my own space to study. Each hostel block has a different catering service, and there are several canteens on campus, including Domino's and Madras Coffee House. VIT provides strong medical support with an on-campus health center. There are also many facilities for sports and games inside the girls' and boys' hostels, such as a gym, swimming pool, badminton court, and basketball court.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified; many hold advanced degrees and bring both academic and industry experience into the classroom. They are generally approachable and encouraging, allowing students to ask questions and clarify their doubts when needed. The teaching quality is quite strong, with a good balance of both theory and practical learning. The curriculum for this course is relevant to industry needs as it combines computer science and business/management topics, giving us a well-rounded perspective and making us industry-ready. We also have many projects, case studies, and hands-on labs.
Other: I chose CSBS because it offers a unique blend of both business and technical skills and felt it would provide knowledge in both teaching and management roles. The best part about this course is the combination of coding, data analysis, and business understanding, which opens up diverse career opportunities. However, I feel there could be more industry exposure through internships or field visits. VIT's campus is very vibrant and always lively. There are many cultural events, and there's always something going on—the campus is never quiet! We have two main fests, Gravitas and Riviera, where students can showcase their talents and ideas, and we often have guest celebrities visit as well. The surroundings are peaceful, and extracurricular activities range from clubs to sports.

VIT Vellore - The most honest review.
Placements: VIT Vellore offers decent placements, especially for CS and IT branches, with top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and TCS recruiting. The average packages vary by branch, but tech roles get higher offers. Mass recruiters are common, so competition is high. Placements are good for tech fields.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum at VIT Vellore is decent, with flexibility in choosing subjects, but some feel it lacks depth. Hostel quality varies. Some are well-maintained, but most lack proper facilities and upkeep. The maintenance is bad.
Faculty: Exams are rigged, and teachers are racist. Exam evaluation feels consistent, raising concerns about fairness. Some students report biases in teaching and grading. The administration should address these issues to ensure a better academic environment for all.
Other: Campus life at VIT Vellore feels restricted due to strict rules. The administration enforces curfews and limits student freedom. It has heavy surveillance and PDA regulations that add to the controlled environment, making it less vibrant compared to other universities.

Good university, good exposure, great campus life.
Placements: Placement percentage for the passing out batch was 100 percent. The highest package offered is 40 LPA and the average package offered was 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Amazon, Cognizant, Deloitte, Infosys and Intel. Around 30% of students got internships in the companies Amazon, Wipro, Infosys and TCS. Top roles offered by my course includes Software developer, Web developer, Full stack developer, Multimedia programmer, Network analyst etc.extra.
Infrastructure: This course's infrastructure is very different from the other Computer Science courses offered in VIT due to the collaboration with TCS. There are programs related to Core programming with the major languages, Mathematics and Physics Database management systems and other electives like languages. The classrooms are well-maintained with smart boards and projectors. Wi-fi is accomodated in all academic and hostel blocks, although it can be slow sometimes. Labs have good computers with Air conditioning. The library is huge and has 5 plus floors of academics related books with Wi-fi and AC. Hostel life is good too, rooms are decent, AC is strong and maintenance is quick to arrive once you lodge a complaint. You can choose your block and the number of people you stay with from the second year onwards based on your CGPA. Washrooms are manageable, mess and canteen have healthy and quality food. Sports facilities are outstanding with a huge outdoor stadium, 4 gyms, two swimming pools, football grounds, tennis and volleyball courts and indoor courts for badminton, table tennis, squash etc.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly helpful but there are chances you might be unlucky and get an uncooperative teacher. They are qualified with good teaching experience in other universities like the IITs, lectures will mostly conduct of notes being projected onto the smart board and the teacher writing and explaining on two other white boards. This course curriculum is relevant as both the computers and business industries are booming and have a very bright scope. Semester exams are tough if you study in one night, writing notes in class with some revision daily is key to having good GPAs. Pass percentage is 40% in the final exams and overall pass percentage including your assignment submissions, quiz marks and lab performance is also 40%.
Other: I chose this course because of its association with TCS. As a badminton player, I was able to keep up with my skills and at the same time maintain a good CGPA. VIT offers many clubs and chapters that you can enroll in as well as numerous extracurricular events, and festivals like Riviera and Gravitas.

Academics are strict, and facilities are good, but there is a lot of crowd.
Placements: Placements, although not the highest, are consistent, and being in collaboration with TCS, most of students get placed in this branch. The highest package last year was above 50+ LPA, but the lowest was as low as 2 LPA. It is a good course for students who may want to pursue an MBA after B.Tech and have some interest in finance.
Infrastructure: The academic blocks of the college are well-maintained and spacious. Normal classrooms are non-AC, while IT labs usually are. Although there are a lot of students in the college, the academic infrastructure is top-notch. Depending on the hostel/mess you choose, you may have varying experiences. The air conditioning in rooms works very well, but the Wi-Fi availability in some rooms is bad, while in some are acceptable. Washrooms are cleaned every day and are well-maintained, though they are still common toilets. The college provides all of the sports facilities, but the quantity of them for the number of students is not great.
Faculty: In the first year, there are a lot more exams for Business Systems than for other courses at the college. For CAT exams, which happen twice a semester, you have exams every day, including Sunday, while the final exam schedule is not much better, with 3-hour exams almost daily. You can easily pass the exams if you study one week before, but it is important to maintain the very strict attendance criteria. The curriculum moves very fast in this course and can be hard for a few students to keep up.
Other: The college life is hectic with loads of assignments and frequent exams, but you can still definitely enjoy it here by participating in events and fests while also having some time for yourself. Clubs also provide a lot of exposure and experience.
