JEE Main 2025 exam will be held in two sessions in January and April. To be among the top scorers of the JEE Mains exam is the dream of every engineering aspirant. However, with the huge JEE Main syllabus, many students find it difficult to cover each topic from all three subjects. To help candidates with their preparation, we have compiled a list of "Do or Die chapters for NTA JEE Mains 2025" that can be considered the most important chapters/topics from the exam point of view.
The list of important topics for JEE Main 2025 can be segregated into two parts: low-weightage and high-weightage topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The analysis provided below has been done after recommendations from various experts and based on the previous year JEE Main question papers. JEE Main exam is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and SPAs of India.

How to Prepare for JEE Main 2025 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics?
JEE Main 2025 Physics Paper
Below are the few points that the candidates must note while preparing for JEE Main 2025 Physics paper.
- Candidates must study all the topics which are mentioned in the JEE Main syllabus Thoroughly with special attention to "Physical Quantities" and "Vector treatment".
- According to the experts, questions from semiconductor devices, electromagnetic waves, communication systems, etc are usually simple and straightforward. A thorough understanding of NCERT textbooks on such topics is usually sufficient to solve questions in JEE Main.
JEE Main 2025 Chemistry Paper
The Chemistry paper is divided into three sections: Physical, Organic, and Inorganic. Check some important points to be noted while preparing:
As per students who appeared in JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam, and the subject experts from various coaching institutes - January 29 shift 1 paper was the toughest in comparison to other shift papers. Many students also found January 27 shift 2 exam difficult.
However, students must note that JEE Main question papers are set at similar difficulty level for all shifts and sessions. There may come a few questions with difficulty level higher than the other.
The JoSAA 2025 choice filling window will open with the registration window on June 3, 2025. Candidates will be able to register and then fill the choices of courses and colleges based on their JEE Main/Advanced ranks and category.
- In physical chemistry, candidates must keep a note of all formulas related to atomic structure, ionic equilibrium, solid-state, electrochemistry and thermos chemistry, etc.
- Inorganic chemistry candidates must focus on reactions that they have come across and their mechanisms.
- Experts suggest that in in-organic chemistry candidates must ensure to learn the formulas or ores and composition of alloys which are often asked in objective type questions.
JEE Main 2025 Mathematic Paper
Mathematics experts have suggested the following points to score higher marks in the paper:
- A list of Formulae and important concepts must be kept in handy
- A good number of questions are expected from Co-ordinate Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vector, and 3-D Geometry in the examinations
