GATE CSE Admit Card

GATE CSE 2026 admit card: Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati has released GATE CSE exam admit card 2026. The link to download GATE CSE admit card can be checked here. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. The exam timings are session 1 (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and session 2 (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). Students can download their hall ticket at the GOAPS portal. How to download GATE Exam CS admit card?

Candidates can follow the steps to download exam hall ticket below -

  • Visit the official website of GATE 2026 exam - gate2026.iitg.ac.in
  • Click on the applicant login and enter enrollment ID and password
  • Select option "download GATE admit card"
  • The hall ticket will be displayed on the screen
  • Check all details carefully and download

GATE 2026 CSE Exam Date and Time

IIT Guwahati will conduct GATE CS exam 2026 on February 8 in two shifts. GATE CS1 paper will be held in the first shift and CS2 paper in second shift. Students appearing for the GATE exam must check all instructions mentioned in hall ticket.

A:

No, changing exam center after release of GATE hall ticket is not allowed. Hall ticket of GATE 2026 will be released anytime soon. The GATE admit card release date has been postponed.

Items that are prohibited inside the GATE Exam Hall

The following items, which are not allowed inside the exam hall, are as follows-

  • Personal calculator, mobile phones, watches, or any other electronic devices. 
  • Charts, tables, papers, books, heavy ornaments, sheets, etc. 
  • Any type of food items are not allowed to carry inside exam hall.

Note: A Scribble pad will be provided for rough work. Candidates must provide their name and registration number before using it. At the end of the exam, the scribble pad has to be returned to the invigilator.

GATE CSE Preparation and Revision Tips

Candidates appearing for the GATE CSE exam 2026 must utilise the last one to two months in revising important topics and solving the GATE previous year’s question papers. Make hand-written notes on formulas and terms that are most asked in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

In addition, candidates are advised to solve GATE mock tests to understand the difficulty level of the entrance test.

Also, practice questions using the GATE virtual calculator to improve accuracy and time management. Lastly, students must take care of their health and engage yourself in physical activities.

Candidates need to graduate from BTech at IIT Dhanbad with a minimum GPA of 8.0 or above to qualify for M.Tech admissions without GATE. Only the candidates who clear BTech from IIT Dhanbad are allowed admissions without GATE into M.Tech at II Dhanbad with the aforementioned score.

No, the GATE 2026 has already been concluded for IIT Dhanbad M.Tech admissions. The GATE 2026 registrations are closed in the month of October. Candidates who have appeared for GATE will need to wait for all merit-lists to be revealed.

The PhD admissions to the Institute Assistantship courses at IIT Guwahati require candidates to appear for the GATE or CEED. 

However, PhD admissions to the other categories of PhD courses at IIT Guwahati are not decided on the basis of the aforementioned entrance exams scores.

Yes, you can get M.Tech admission without a GATE  in Bangalore colleges through institute specific entrance exams. The seats are sponsored in IITs and NITS. Private and state universities also offer direct admissions via their own tests or merit.
