GATE CSE 2026 admit card: Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati has released GATE CSE exam admit card 2026. The link to download GATE CSE admit card can be checked here. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. The exam timings are session 1 (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and session 2 (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). How to download GATE Exam CS admit card?
Candidates can follow the steps to download exam hall ticket below -
- Visit the official website of GATE 2026 exam - gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Click on the applicant login and enter enrollment ID and password
- Select option "download GATE admit card"
- The hall ticket will be displayed on the screen
- Check all details carefully and download
GATE 2026 CSE Exam Date and Time
IIT Guwahati will conduct GATE CS exam 2026 on February 8 in two shifts. GATE CS1 paper will be held in the first shift and CS2 paper in second shift. Students appearing for the GATE exam must check all instructions mentioned in hall ticket.

What to carry for GATE Computer Science and Engineering exam?
Candidates appearing for exam must carry following items to the test centre -
- Admit card (must be printed clearly with no tampering)
- Valid ID proof (as mentioned in GATE application form)
- Students can carry their own pen and pencil for rough work
- Transparent water bottle
No, changing exam center after release of GATE hall ticket is not allowed. Hall ticket of GATE 2026 will be released anytime soon. The GATE admit card release date has been postponed.
Official website to download GATE admit card is gate2026.iitg.ac.in. GOAPS portal link is goaps.iitg.ac.in. Candidates must provide their enrollment ID and password to download their hall ticket.
Items that are prohibited inside the GATE Exam Hall
The following items, which are not allowed inside the exam hall, are as follows-
- Personal calculator, mobile phones, watches, or any other electronic devices.
- Charts, tables, papers, books, heavy ornaments, sheets, etc.
- Any type of food items are not allowed to carry inside exam hall.
| Note: A Scribble pad will be provided for rough work. Candidates must provide their name and registration number before using it. At the end of the exam, the scribble pad has to be returned to the invigilator. |
GATE CSE Preparation and Revision Tips
Candidates appearing for the GATE CSE exam 2026 must utilise the last one to two months in revising important topics and solving the GATE previous year’s question papers. Make hand-written notes on formulas and terms that are most asked in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.
In addition, candidates are advised to solve GATE mock tests to understand the difficulty level of the entrance test.
Also, practice questions using the GATE virtual calculator to improve accuracy and time management. Lastly, students must take care of their health and engage yourself in physical activities.

As such, the GATE authorities have not mentioned anything regarding the black and white or colour printout of the GATE admit card to be carried or not. But it is better to carry a colour printout of the hall ticket to the exam centre Also, the admit card of GATE must be in A4 size format.

Candidates need to graduate from BTech at IIT Dhanbad with a minimum GPA of 8.0 or above to qualify for M.Tech admissions without GATE. Only the candidates who clear BTech from IIT Dhanbad are allowed admissions without GATE into M.Tech at II Dhanbad with the aforementioned score.

No, the GATE 2026 has already been concluded for IIT Dhanbad M.Tech admissions. The GATE 2026 registrations are closed in the month of October. Candidates who have appeared for GATE will need to wait for all merit-lists to be revealed.

The PhD admissions to the Institute Assistantship courses at IIT Guwahati require candidates to appear for the GATE or CEED.
