GATE 2026 ME Admit Card Release Date and Time

GATE 2026 ME hall ticket is now available. The official link to download GATE admit card is goaps.iitg.ac.in. Credentials required to access GATE ME exam admit card is enrollment ID and password created during the registration process.

GATE ME Exam Date and Time

GATE Mechanical Engineering paper is scheduled for February 14 in the second shift. The timings for the exam are 2:30 pm to 5: 30 pm. Students attempting GATE 2026 ME paper, must report to the exam centre at least one hour before the commencement of entrance test. No late entry is allowed, as per GATE exam guidelines.

GATE Exam Day Guidelines

The organising authorities issue strict guidelines on the hall ticket. Candidates must follow every instruction mentioned on the admit card of GATE ME exam. Below are the exam day guidelines for GATE 2026.

  • Reach exam centre at least an hour before, as late entry will not be accepted
  • Make sure to carry all the above-mentioned documents along with GATE 2026 ME hall ticket
  • Do not carry any electronic gadgets or sheets to the centre
  • Physical calculators are not allowed inside the exam hall. Students will be provided GATE online calculator to solve questions. 
  • One scribble pad will be provided inside exam hall. Candidates have to write their name and roll number before starting. Once the exam is complete, it has to be returned to the invigilator.

No, GATE is not a mandatory entrance exam for all PhD admissions at NIT Jalandhar. Candidates who are qualified for direct admissions at NIT Jalandhar's Engineering PhD courses are require to clear it during ME/MTech admissions.

No, GATE is not a mandatory entrance exam for securing admissions at IIIT Bhubaneshwar. Candidates who fail to secure a GATE scorecard can still appear for the IIIT Bhubaneshwar M.Tech entrance exam which includes a written test. The syllabus of this written test is the same as the GATE.
