JAC Delhi 2019 (Round 1): Changes in Cut offs for DTU, NSIT, IIIT D & IGDTUW

Here's an institute-wise comparison of JAC Delhi cut offs (2019 vs 2018) released in round 1.

The latest JAC Delhi cut off 2019 have been released by the committee (JAC) on July 19 for round 4 (final round). JAC Delhi cut offs (opening and closing ranks) for round 1 were released by the Joint Admission Committee (JAC) on June 22, a day after the seat allotment results were announced.

Till the first round of JAC Delhi cut offs released for home state (HS) candidates, the closing ranks for most of the engineering branches offered at NSUT, DTU and IGDTUW jumped by an average of 1561 ranks. However, IIIT-D saw a major drop in the closing ranks for all the engineering branches with an average of 15747 ranks. A similar pattern was witnessed for all India candidates where the closing ranks for all the institutes except IIITD witnessed an upward movement in ranks by an average of 1266 ranks, while ranks at IIIT Delhi fell by 3925 on an average.

JAC Delhi counselling is conducted by Joint Admission Committee (JAC) for admission to BE/BTech and BArch courses offered by Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) through JEE Main. JAC Delhi cut offs (opening and closing ranks) along with the seat allotment results are released after each of the counselling rounds. Additional spot rounds are also organized if the seats remain vacant after the initial four rounds of seat allotment results are announced.

JAC Delhi 2019 Cut off Highlights

• Among all the engineering branches, computer science engineering and electrical engineering saw a major decline across all institutes while ranks for mechanical engineering, environmental engineering and civil engineering saw a jump in comparison to last year.
• In 2019, NSUT and IIIT D have introduced new courses including MAC, electrical engineering and computer science in artificial intelligence (AI) respectively.
