JoSAA 2022: Changes In NIT Mechanical Engineering (ME) Cutoffs
JoSAA has released the round 6 NIT Mechanical cutoff 2022 on the official website. Check JoSAA Mechanical cutoff comparison to the previous year and other details here.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the round 6 JoSAA 2022 Cutoff on October 16, 2022. The conducting authority has also released the JoSAA 2022 seat allotment result for round 6 on the same day. Candidates can check round-wise and institute-wise JoSAA Cutoff 2022 for the academic session 2022-23 on the official website at josaa.admissions.nic.in. JoSAA cutoff 2022 for rounds 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 were also released along with the seat allotment result. JoSAA 2022 cutoffs for each round for admissions to 31 NITs are also updated here.

There are a total of 114 participating institutes that includes 23 IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), 31 NITs (National Institutes of Technology), 26 IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and 33 other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes. The authorities releases the JoSAA 2022 NIT Mechanical Engineering cutoff separately for all the rounds. The authority will release the official schedule of the JoSAA. It is expected that the Round 5 seat allotment will be released in July 2024, and the cutoff will also be published in July 2024 (tentatively) on the official website at josaa.nic.in. The JoSAA cutoff will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks.
NIT Trichy is a government university and the admission to this university is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Main. Candidates must give as many mock tests as possible for admission through the JEE Main exam. Do check the JEE Main exam pattern, and attempt as many JEE Main questions papers as possible. For particular score related details candidates must visit the official website or can even check the JEE Main College Predictor.

NIT Mechanical Engineering (ME) Cutoff Highlights Previous year
- In the last round (6th round) of JoSAA 2021 counselling, ME ranks across NITs have dipped by an average of 1800 ranks.
- In the 5th and 6th round of JoSAA 2021 counselling, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Manipur and NIT Jalandhar and NIT Jamshedpur have witnessed a steep fall in ranks.
- The average fall in Mechanical Engg rank across NITs stands at 1250. Most of the NITs have seen a jump in the ranks, while there are a few NITs who have witnessed a steep decline in the ME ranks.
- The biggest fall in ME ranks (closing) in round 3 of JoSAA 2022 counselling has been witnessed at NIT Arunachal Pradesh.
- On average, ME ranks dropped by 1350 ranks across NITs.
- Most of the NITs, in the 3rd round of counselling, witnessed fall in ranks. NIT Goa, NIT Meghalaya and NIT Sikkim are the three NITs which saw a rise in ranks for admissions to their Mechanical Engineering programme.

JoSAA 2022: Changes in IIT Electrical Engineering (EE) Cutoffs
NIT Warangal cutoff for the MSc course is based on CCMN Counselling. Candidates who qualify for JAM are called for the CCMN Counselling 2023. CCMN Counselling was held for up to six rounds. This section shows the analysis of the last three years' trends for NIT Warangal MSc courses.
NIT Warangal cutoff for M.Sc. in Mathematics and Scientific Computing closed at 538 while in 2022 it closed at 465. Followed by MSc Mathematics and Computing, the course with the second the highest cutoff was M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics which closed at 674, while in 2022 it closed at 626 for the General category All India candidates.
Candidates who qualified for JEE Main and/or JEE Advanced can participate in JoSAA 2025. The JoSAA 2025 seat allotment results will be released in online mode after every round. Candidates will be allotted seats according to their merit, preferences, and availability of seats. After the declaration of the seat allotment results, JoSAA releases cutoffs separately for every round. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release Rounds 2, 3, 4, and 5 cutoffs on the official website at josaa.nic.in.
