The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the JoSAA 2022 cutoff round 1 along with the seat allotment result (round 1) on September 23, 2022. Candidates can check the same on the official website.

JoSAA announces course-wise and category-wise cutoffs for all the IITs after each round. Those candidates can check the cutoff for IITs in the article below after the announcement. Candidates also keey in their mind that the JoSAA is responsible to prepare IITs cutoff for all engineering branches after considering various factors such as seat availability and choices entered by students.

Q:   When will the JoSAA 2025 all-round cutoff be released?
A:

Candidates who qualified for JEE Main and/or JEE Advanced can participate in JoSAA 2025. The JoSAA 2025 seat allotment results will be released in online mode after every round. Candidates will be allotted seats according to their merit, preferences, and availability of seats. After the declaration of the seat allotment results, JoSAA releases cutoffs separately for every round. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release Rounds 2, 3, 4, and 5 cutoffs on the official website at josaa.nic.in. 

Q:   When was the JoSAA 2023 Round 5 Cutoff released?
A:

The authority will release the official schedule of the JoSAA. It is expected that the Round 5 seat allotment will be released in July 2024, and the cutoff will also be published in July 2024 (tentatively) on the official website at josaa.nic.in. The JoSAA cutoff will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks.

 

JoSAA IIT cutoff 2021 was used for screening students during counselling and the seat allotment process. In addition to the IIT cutoff, candidates must also fulfil the general eligibility criteria of the institutes.

JoSAA 2021 Cutoff for IITs: Determining Factors

While preparing the cutoff of IITs for top Engineering branches, the authorities consider the following factors:

  • The difficulty level of JEE Main and Advanced 2021
  • Number of seats available for admission
  • Previous years’ cutoff trends
  • Number of applicants in each institute
  • Number of candidates who appeared for JEE Advanced 2020

Candidates must keep in mind that the cutoff for 2020 may vary from last year’s. The authority will release the cutoff or closing rank after the completion of all rounds.

No, your candidature will be rejected as you need to have minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for admisison to the IITs, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs via the JoSAA counselling. Even if you pass JEE Advanced and JEE Main, of you do not have 75% minimum marks in class 12 boards you will no get admission

The JEE Advanced JoSAA counselling dates will be made available on the official website of JoSAA - josaa.nic.in. Usually, the JoSAA counselling registration starts a day after the JEE Advanced result is anniunced. Complete schedule will be available on the official website.

No, one does not have to apply separately at IIT Madras website after JoSAA counselling. This is because the institute follows a common admission process for its BTech course just like the other IITs.
