WBJEE 2024 Result - The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) have announced the WBJEE 2024 result. The candidates can now access the WBJEE result 2024 online at wbjeeb.nic.in by logging in using the required credentials. No other mode has been used to declare the result of WBJEE 2024. Through the WBJEE result, the candidates can access the scores and ranks obtained in the entrance exam. The result can be downloaded in the form of a WBJEE 2024 rank card. In WBJEE 2024, Kingshuk Patra has secured the first rank. Shubhradeep Paul and Bibaswan Biswas have secured the second and third rank, respectively. No, The authorities will release the WBJEE result online. No other mode will be used to release the WBJEE result/rank card. Candidates will be required to log in online using their application number and date of birth to access the result or rank card of WBJEE 2025. Since the rank card will be required during the WBJEE counselling process, the candidates are advised to keep it safe until the end of the admissions. A print out of the rank card has to be taken as soon as it is released online.

Q:   Will WBJEE result and rank card be different?
A: 

No, the rank card and result of WBJEE 2025 will not be different. The WBJEE result will be declared in the form of rank cards. To download, candidates will have to log in at the official website using the required credentials. Once the candidates check their obtained scores and ranks in the WBJEE 2025 result, they will be able to download it in the form of rank card. It is to be noted that the rank card is an extremely important documents so the candidates will have to possess it until the end of the admission process. In case of any mistakes in the rank card, the authorities have to be immediately informed.

No, the authorities do not provide any facility to the candidates to re-evaluate their WBJEE result. The allotment of ranks is done as per the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination. However, the authorities will not accept requests for corrections in the allotted marks or ranks.

WBJEE 2024 Merit List

The General Merit Rank (GMR) link will be based on the marks obtained in the entranc exam. During counselling, the candidates will be considered eligible based on their rank in the GMR list. For each category such as SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD/TFW, separate merit lists will be released.

Tie-Breaking Rules for WBJEE Merit List 2024

In case there are two or more candidates who have secured the same scores in WBJEE 2024, the following tie-breaking rules will be followed in the given order:

  • Candidates with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie still exists, the candidate with more collective positive marks in Mathematics and Physics will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie is still not broken, the candidate with more collective positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie persists, then the candidate with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics and Physics will be allotted a higher rank.
  • If the tie has not been broken, the candidate with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie still exists, the candidate with more positive marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie is yet present, the candidate with more positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie is still ongoing, the candidate with more positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions will be allotted a higher rank.
  • If the tie persists, the candidate with lesser negative marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie still exists, the candidate with lesser negative marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie persists, the candidate with lesser negative marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions will be allotted a higher rank.
  • If in case a tie still exists after the application of the above tie-breaking rules, the candidate's date of birth will be taken into consideration. In such cases, the older candidate is considered for admission.

WBJEE 2024 Counselling

Candidates were able to participate in the WBJEE counselling 2024 for admissions into the participating institutes. Registrations for the counselling process were open on the official website and the candidates had to fill in their choice of colleges and courses. Allotment of seats has been done based on rank, preferences and seat availability. Separate WBJEE 2024 seat allotment results were declared for different rounds of counselling.

If you belong to the OBC, SC, ST, EWS or PWD HS category, then yes, you can get a seat at KGEC with a rank of 600 in the WBJEE entrance examination. 

For the OBC HS category, the overall cutoff ranged from 4156 to 11190, according to the first and last rounds for various BTech course specialisations.
