JEE Main Counselling 2026 Date
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts JEE Main counselling for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates who appear in JEE Main are eligible to participate in counselling for admission to all participating institutes of JoSAA through JEE Main scores. The JoSAA JEE Mains 2026 counselling registrations will start on June 2.
To participate in counselling, candidates have to register online on the JoSAA website and fill choices of their preferred institutes and branches. Candidates must go through the JoSAA eligibility criteria before appearing in the counselling process. Candidates allotted seats through JoSAA counselling have to confirm their admission online and deposit the fees as per the dates mentioned in the provisional allotment letter.
To register for the JoSAA, candidates must have a valid JEE Main/Advanced score. Candidates with a rank in JEE Advanced will be admitted to IITs through JoSAA. Admissions to all 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and GFTIs will be through JoSAA counselling. Post doing the formalities, candidates will be able to get admission into NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs as well as other participating colleges of JoSAA. Candidates will be allotted seats through JoSAA, and they must exercise the freeze/float/slide option and confirm their admission by the last date. The allotment of seats will be based on choices filled by the candidates during JoSAA registration.

The CSAB counselling is conducted after the completion of JoSAA. The dates of CSAB is announced after the last round JoSAA counselling at csab.nic.in. The counselling process will begin with the CSAB NEUT round, followed by the special round, and finally the supernumerary round. The schedule for the CSAB NEUT round, as well as the special and supernumerary rounds will differ.

JEE Main 2026 Result Date Session 2 Paper 2
The JEE Main paper result 2026 session 2 has been announced at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates have to use their application number and password through the JEE Mains login portal to check their results. Soon, NTA will release the paper 2a and 2b results.
Candidates must download the JEE Main result and keep it safe for admission purposes specially during the counselling process. The JEE Main Result consists of the candidate's normalised percentile score in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and aggregate percentile score in all three subjects. Candidates will be able to know about their colleges based on their scores using JEE Main College Predictor.
Along with the JEE Mains Result session 2, NTA has also released the JEE Main Cut off Percentile, which are the minimum marks candidates need to score to qualify for JEE Advanced.

JEE Main Answer Key 2026 Session 2 Date - Paper 2
The NTA JEE Main Answer Key for session 2 was released on April 11 for the paper 1 exam. For paper 2, the answer keys and response sheets were released on April 25. The challenge window was open until April 27. Candidates need to pay a processing fee of INR 200 per question using credit/debit card/Net banking/UPI/PAYTM service. The fee is non-refundable. However, if the challenge is approved by NTA, the fee is refunded.
To download the answer keys, candidates have to log in with their application number and password. Also, NTA has released shift-wise JEE Mains paper 1 question papers for session 2.
The final JEE Mains answer key, released after reviewing the objections submitted by the candidates, will be used to calculate the result/score of the candidates.

JEE Main Application Form Date 2026
NTA has closed the JEE Main 2026 registration session 2. Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria can fill out the application form as per JEE Main 2026 application deadline. Candidates have to upload live photo capture as well as a scanned image of their passport-sized photo. Other documents to be uploaded are signature. OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST candidates also need to fill details of the certificate issuing authority and date in the application form. PwD/PwBD candidates need to upload their category certificates. JEE Main application form fees for the general category are INR 1000, for OBC candidates, it is INR 800, and for SC candidates, it is INR 500.

JEE Main Form Correction Date 2026
NTA has closed the JEE Mains form correction facility. The JEE Main form correction opportunity is available to all candidates who have applied as fresh candidates for JEE Mains 2026 Session 2, as well as to those who had applied for JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 and registered for Session 2.
When the form correction link is activated, all the registered candidates have to visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and verify their particulars. They are further advised to make any required corrections to their particulars in their respective application forms.
During the JEE Mains correction, the additional fee (wherever applicable) is to be paid by the candidate either through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI.

NTA released the JEE Main session 2 City Intimation Slip 2026 on March 21 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The city intimation slip mentions details of the exam date and exam city of the candidate. Candidates must note that the exam city slip is different from admit card. Note that NTA is not going to change the JEE Main exam date 2026 for session 2 under any condition. NTA has clarified via the FAQs that, even if there is a clash with other state or national level entrance exams, the JEE Main 2026 exam date will not be changed.

Candidates who successfully submit their application have been issued the hall ticket, which they can download and carry to the exam centre on the day of the JEE Main 2026 exam. Along with the hall ticket, JEE Main candidates will also have to carry their valid photo ID proof, such as the admit card, voter ID, PAN card or driving license, and one passport-size photo (the same photo uploaded in the application form).
