Meeting TANCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria is a MUST
Fulfiling all the eligibility conditions is a prerequisite for submitting the registration form. Candidates who do not satisfy the TANCET eligibility conditions can fill out the application form; however, they will be debarred at the time of counselling. - Qualifying Exam: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s level degree, irrespective of stream
- Minimum Qualifying Score: Candidates who belong to the unreserved category must secure a minimum of 50 per cent; the reserved category candidates require 45 per cent minimum aggregate.
Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam in any of the following formats:
- 10+2+3/4/5 year pattern
- 10+3 year diploma + 3-year pattern
- BE/BTech/BArch/B Pharm
- 10 + 2 + AMIE*
Candidates must hold section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates of A.M.I.E. and other similar certificates of professional bodies recognised by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India are considered equivalent to BE/BTech degree holders. However, such candidates must have two years of full-time experience in the relevant field. The experience must be obtained after successful course completion, including project work.

For admission to BTech at PSGCT, candidates must have passed in Class 12 from a recognized board with a minimum 45% aggregate. Admissions in the college are offered on the basis of a valid TNEA or (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) score followed by counselling.
For MTech, selections are done on the basis of TANCET or GATE but the first preference is given to GATE score. The candidate must have a degree of BTech/BE in a relevant specialization from a recognized board for admission in a MTech programme.
