Documents needed for Karnataka PGCET application form 2026: The applications of candidates applying for KEA Karnataka PGCET 2026 will not be successful if all applicable documents are not uploaded. Additionally, the details to be filled in the PGCET form must match the details in the official certificates. Aadhaar Card Mandatory for Karnataka PGCET Registrations 2026

All candidates should verify that the name printed on their SSLC mark card is the same as the one on their Aadhaar card. If there is any discrepancy, the candidate must immediately correct the name on the Aadhaar card.

Additionally, the name appearing on the Caste or Caste-income certificates must also be the same as the name on the SSLC marks card.

This means the name of the students in all caste or caste-income certificates, as well as in the SSLC mark card, should be the same as that on the Aadhaar card.

To prepare for General Knowledge section of Karnataka PGCET exam, candidates must follow news, read bulletins, and refer Manorama Year Book to know about the current affairs.

Q:   How much time should I devote to practice Karnmataka PGCET question papers?
A: 

Candidates need to devote a minimum of two hours to practice the Karnataka PGCET exam paper daily without a any miss. This will help them in increasing the accuracy level to answer questions in less time with proficiency. The actual exam duration of the Karnataka PGCET exam is 150 minutes. However, candidates will have to answer all questions within 120 minutes. The remaining 30 minutes are required for frisking and mentioning the details on the answer booklet.

KEA conducts Karnataka PGCET exam for admission to MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, and MArch courses. Candidates aspiring for MArch are only required to fill the PGCET form to participate in the centralised counselling process.

Yes, the syllabus is extensive as it covers a vast range of graduation-level topics across five sections. However, a daily structured study plan helps candidates cover the syllabus easily.

Important Instructions While Filling Karnataka PGCET Form Using RD Certificates

"RD-related certificates" generally refer to Revenue Department (RD) certificates in India (caste, income, or residence) identified by a unique RD number.

They feature a unique 12-digit "RD Number" issued by the state (Karnataka) to verify authenticity. This number is crucial for government benefits and is used to track application status on portals.

While filling in the following details in the PGCET form, candidates have to take care of the following:

Annual Income of the family from all the sources: Enter the correct RD number; data will be fetched from the department servers.
Reservation category claimed
Name of the Caste
In case of a married woman, the certificate has to be in the name of the candidate along with her husband and taking the income of her spouse and his family

NOTE: All the Karnataka candidates claiming reservation benefits should possess the original Caste / Caste - Income certificate as on the last date prescribed for receipt of application. Otherwise, such candidates will not be considered under the reserved categories and will be treated on par with a General Merit candidate.

Live Photo Capture In Karnataka PGCET 2026 Registration

Starting in 2026, KEA requires candidates to use either OTP or facial recognition to complete the PGCET registration form. After successfully registering and logging in, candidates must verify their login through OTP or a live photo before they can continue entering their application details. The candidates need to provide their faces for verification. At each subsequent stage of the admission process, the candidate's eligibility will depend on the verification of their previously verified live photo.

The highest rank acceptable in 2024 was 2206 for the General AI category. So, students who have a rank below 2206 have a better chance of admission in the MBA/PGDM course. Students should know that the cutoff for other categories will vary.

Qualifying Karnataka PGCET is compulsory for Karnataka domicile students to get admission in M.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. For others, it is not compulsory and they can get admission based on GATE score or through Management Quota.
