First Month

Utilise the first month of NMAT 2026 preparation to strengthen fundamentals. Study each subject of the NMAT syllabus in detail and make two lists --- of your strength areas and your weak areas. Start with your strengths because you just need to fine-tune them and then move to the weak areas. Study each topic in detail and ensure that you have complete clarity of the fundamental concepts of each of these topics. Take each topic at a time. The NMAT is a speed-based test, requiring test-takers to answer all questions within a specific time limit. Although the number of questions has been reduced, effective time management remains crucial for success. For instance, the Reading Comprehension section within Language Skills is quite lengthy. To tackle RC questions efficiently, enhance your comprehension ability by developing a strong reading habit. Read a variety of materials, including business journals, current affairs articles, and English novels. Additionally, practice online grammar quizzes and solve jumbled paragraphs to prepare for the Language Skills section of the NMAT exam. This section will consist of 36 questions that must be completed in 28 minutes, emphasising the importance of time management.

In the Quantitative Skills section, while the questions may not be exceedingly tricky, struggling with mental calculations can hinder your performance. To overcome this, focus on learning shortcut techniques and formulas for topics like HCM-LCM, Arithmetic Progression, Mensuration, Bar Charts, and Pie Charts. Third Month
