The IIM selection process includes screening of the candidates on the basis of minimum CAT cut off and academic record. Those who are selected are invited for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Post that, each candidate is once again evaluated. The second level of selection is based on each candidates Composite Score arrived at by calculating their performance in CAT exam, WAT-PI, academics, extracurricular activities and diversity. In this article, we have collated IIM CAT cut offs of last three years ( 2018, 2017 and 2016). You will also find expected CAT 2019 cut off percentiles of top IIMs.

Yes, CAT exam is MCQ type, meaning there are no subjective type questions wherein you have to write a lot. In CAT every question is to be answered in one word or option. However, all questions don't have MCQ options, some are Type In The Answer (TITA) questions.
