Q:   Will the KMAT exam be conducted in double shifts?
A:

No, the KMAT exam will be conducted only in single shift. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the KPPGCA, exam conducting authority, has resolved to the remote-proctored mode. Even then, the exam will only be conducted in one shift on a single day. KMAT exam pattern has not changed much since past few years. KMAT exam was conducted in the internet-based test mode in the morning shift on September 7, 2025. The shift timings for both the courses, MBA and MCA will be the same.

Q:   What items are prohibited during the KMAT exam?
A:

Candidates appearing for the KMAT exam, must not use any electronic item including the watch, mobile phone, ipad, calculator, smartwatch, etc. during the KMAT exam. Any candidate found using such an item during the exam will be disqualified. Candidates can check time on the onscreen timer on their computer systems during the KMAT exam. Apart from electronic items, stationary other than a blue/black ball point pen and eatables are not allowed. Caps and headgear, goggles, etc. which cover the face in any way are also not allowed during the exam.

Q:   Is there a KMAT test center in Lucknow?
A:

No, there are no KMAT examination centers in Lucknow. The KMAT exam used to be conducted in ten cities in Karnataka state. The KMAT is now administered using an internet-based, remote-proctored mode in accordance with the most recent guidelines. This means you can now take the KMAT at the location of your choice.
