The MAH MBA CET 2026 exam began on a relatively comfortable note, with Slot 1 of Day 1 being rated easy to moderate by most students. While the paper was not conceptually difficult, it turned out to be lengthy, particularly in Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude sections.

With 200 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes and no negative marking, MBA CET once again rewarded candidates who focused on maximizing attempts while maintaining accuracy. Based on initial student feedback and expert analysis, MAH MBA CET 2026 Day, 1 Slot 1 is expected to witness a higher cutoff compared to last year.

Slot 2 of MAH MBA CET 2026 turned out to be easy to moderate and very similar to Slot 1, contrary to the usual trend where Slot 2 tends to be more difficult.

Based on multiple student interactions and initial feedback, MAH MBA CET 2026 Day 1, Slot 2 was arguably one of the easiest in recent years, with most sections being straightforward but slightly lengthy due to the number of questions and calculations involved.

The paper continued to follow the standard CET pattern of 200 questions in 150 minutes with no negative marking, rewarding students who focused on speed and smart question selection. Scroll down to read detailed MAH MBA CET 2026 exam analysis.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis: VARC

The VARC section of MBA CET 2026 Day 1 was easy to moderate, with a clear tilt towards vocabulary and grammar-based questions.

Most RC questions were direct and detail-based, although a few required inference. Some students reported that at least one RC was difficult to attempt within time.

The remaining 30 questions were from Verbal Ability, making this a scoring section for students with strong basics. The grammar questions included error spotting, active-passive voice, direct-indirect speech, sentence correction, and sentence completion.

Student feedback across the slot was largely consistent.

The paper was very easy but lengthy. Logical Reasoning had no puzzles and consisted of individual questions. Quant was easy but calculation-heavy. VARC was scoring, and Abstract Reasoning was easy with a few ambiguous questions. The main challenge was time management rather than difficulty.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Day 1 Overall Takeaway

Slot 1 of MAH MBA CET 2026 was a speed-driven paper with low conceptual difficulty but high time pressure.

Abstract Reasoning and VARC offered strong scoring opportunities. Quant and Logical Reasoning required smart question selection to avoid time traps. The shift in Logical Reasoning towards singlet-based questions was a major change.

Given the nature of the paper and consistent student feedback, the cutoff for this slot is expected to be on the higher side, making normalization across slots critical.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis – Day 1 Slot 2

The second session of MAH CET on Day 1 had close similarities with first session. Check below detailed analysis of all four sections of Shift 2 exam.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis: Sectional Difficulty Level (Day 1, Shift 2)

Slot 2 was very similar to Slot 1 in pattern and difficulty. Check below table for section wise difficulty level of MHT MBA CET 2026 Day 1, Shift 2.

Q&A Icon
Commonly asked questions
Q:   What is the difficulty level of MAH MBA CET?
A:

MAH MBA CET is a moderately difficult exam. It’s difficulty level is lower than CAT but higher than MAT or ATMA. A major factor that makes MAH CET a difficult test to crack is that questions are presented in random order and sectional weightage vary in every slot. So, candidates cannot anticipate or plan how many and which type of questions to get to their target score.

Also, MAH MBA CET is dominated by Logical Reasoning questions and there are comparatively less Quantitative Aptitude questions. Since, there is no set pattern, candidates cannot pre-plan. They need to make a strategy and implement it as soon as they see question paper. So, those who can think on their feet and can crack exam better than others.

Note: Info is taken from other sources and can be different.

Q:   In which section of MAH MBA CET can I score maximum?
A:

It is tough to say that as there is no set pattern of sectional weightage in MAH CET anymore. Since the last two years, the number of questions for each section of the exam, varies for every slot. Meaning that, if in one slot there are 75 questions on LR and 25 AR, in the second slot there can be 60 questions on LR and 40 questions on AR. Similarly, there could be 50 questions on QA in one slot but in the next slot it could be 40. The total number of questions remain 200 in all the slots but the sectional weightage changes. So, one can really not prepare for the exam with the target of scoring maximum in a particular section. They need to prepare for all sections as any section can have maximum questions and the potential to score maximum.
