MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis Day 2

Check detailed MAH MBA CET 2026 analysis day 2

Day 2 of MAH MBA CET 2026 continued the pattern set by earlier slots, offering a paper that was broadly easy to moderate in difficulty but demanding in terms of time. Candidates needed sharp question selection and good time management strategy to maximise their attempts.

Logical Reasoning section of was the defining section of this slot not due to high difficulty, but because of the sheer length of individual questions. Some singlets were verbose and once again there were no traditionally asked puzzles of 5 questions each, slowing down even well prepared students. Abstract Reasoning section of MAH CET Day 2 Shift 1, by contrast, was one of the most scoring sections of the day, with the majority of questions being straightforward and several drawn directly from previous years’ papers.

Based on student feedback from multiple test-takers across this slot, MHT MBA CET 2026 Day 2, Shift 1 is expected to have a slightly lower cutoff than Day 1, Shift 1, given the increased time pressure in LR.

Shift 2 of MAH MBA CET 2026, Day 2 continued the trend seen in earlier slots, with the paper being rated easy to moderate overall. While the difficulty level remained manageable, the paper was lengthy in parts, particularly in Logical Reasoning, making time management crucial.

With 200 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes and no negative marking, the exam once again rewarded candidates who focused on maximizing attempts while maintaining accuracy and avoiding time traps.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis: VARC

VARC in Shift 1 of today's MAH MBA CET 2026 question paper was easy to moderate, a manageable section for most candidates with solid fundamentals.

The section featured 4 Reading Comprehension passages. Three of the four passages were rated easy to moderate, with direct and inference based questions. One passage was notably difficult and time consuming, and candidates who identified this early would have been better served skipping or attempting it last.

The remaining questions in MBA CET VARC section covered vocabulary and grammar, both rated easy to easy - moderate respectively. Students with a strong foundation in English basics found this section comfortable and scoring.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis: Quantitative Aptitude

The Quant section in MAH MBA CET 2026 Day 2, Shift 1 was rated easy to moderate, with a structure broadly similar to other slots. The section had two Data Interpretation sets of 5 marks each, consistent with previous slots. 1 set was easy to moderate & other was moderate to difficult, and students who attempted them with care reported good accuracy.

The remaining questions were spread across standard arithmetic topics Time, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Mixture & Allegations and other related topics. The difficulty across these was consistent with the easy to moderate bracket, and the absence of heavy computation (unlike the decimal-heavy Slot 1) made this section more straightforward in terms of calculation time.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis: Logical Reasoning

Logical Reasoning was the most time-intensive section of today’s first shift and the key differentiator between high scorers and average scorers. While the section was not difficult in terms of concepts, the questions were notably verbose, with singlets that required significantly more reading time than typical CET standards.

Of the 75 questions, approximately 50 were standalone singlets individually solvable, but each demanded careful reading. Critical Reasoning accounted for around 10 questions, ranging from easy to moderate. The section also had 3 puzzle type questions worth 2 marks each, a relatively lower puzzle presence compared to Previous year papers.

The silver lining: singlet questions, despite being lengthy, are generally solvable in isolation. Candidates who developed a rhythm reading quickly, eliminating wrong options, and moving on were able to maintain attempt counts. Students who got drawn into time traps on individual questions struggled to complete the section.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis: Abstract Reasoning

Abstract Reasoning was the highlight of Slot 3 in terms of ease and scoring potential. The section was rated very easy by the majority of students, with most questions being immediately solvable.

Series-based questions including odd one out, missing figure, and next-in-series formed a significant portion of the section, with 3-4 questions reported to be direct PYQs. This rewarded students who had worked through previous years’ papers during preparation. Counting figures formed the remaining chunk, and while rated moderate to difficult, there were only 3 such questions.

For well-prepared students, Abstract Reasoning section of MAH CET 2026 on Day 2 in Shift 1 was an opportunity to secure close to full marks within a short time window, freeing up time for the more demanding sections.

MAH MBA CET 2026, Day 2, Shift 1: Student Review

Feedback from MHT MBA CET test-takers was consistent across reviewers. The section-level observations are summarised below:

  • Abstract Reasoning: Very easy. Most questions were straightforward, and several were direct PYQs. Strong students would have cleared this section in under 15 minutes.
  • VARC: Easy to moderate. Four RC passages, three manageable, one difficult. Vocabulary and grammar were easy and scoring.
  • Logical Reasoning: The most time-consuming section. Singlets were lengthy and required careful reading. Two puzzles of 2 marks each were present. Critical Reasoning was manageable but required selectivity.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Easy to moderate. Two DI sets of 5 marks each. Arithmetic topics were standard and approachable.

The dominant theme across both reviews was time LR slowed down even well-prepared students, and the ability to manage pace across sections was the key differentiator in this slot.

MAH MBA CET 2026, Day 2, Shift 1: Overall Takeaway

Slot 3 of MAH MBA CET 2026 was a paper where scoring opportunities were clear, but execution required discipline. Abstract Reasoning offered free marks, VARC was manageable, and Quant was straightforward; the challenge lay almost entirely in how efficiently candidates handled LR.

The optimal strategy for this slot would have been: start with Abstract Reasoning to bank easy marks, move to VARC for a scoring section, use Quant selectively on high-confidence questions, and manage LR with a strict per-question time limit.

Given the time pressure in LR and the slightly lower number of RC passages in VARC, the expected cutoff for Slot 3 is marginally lower than Slot 1. Normalisation across slots will remain critical, and students should await official score releases before drawing conclusions about their performance.

Commonly asked questions
Q:   What is the marking scheme of MAH CET MBA?
A:

The marking scheme of MAH MBA CET is very straightforward. The total marks is 200 hundred for 200 questions. Which means, every question carries one mark. There is no negative marking. In case of incorrect attempt, candidates will be marked zero. If they skip a question, even then they will be marked zero. Total marks of a candidate will be calculated out 200 on the basis of their total number of correct attempt.

Section wise the marks allotment is as follows:

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: 50 marks
  • Logical Reasoning: 75 marks
  • Abstract Reasoning: 25 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 marks

The MAH CET percentile is calculated out of normalized scores of every test take across all the sessions of the exam. The percentile is calculated on the basis of top scoring candidate’s marks against all other candidates.

Q:   Is there negative marking in MAH CET MBA exam?
A:

MAH CET does not have negative marking. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded to the candidate but no marks are deducted for wrong answers or unattempted questions.

Q:   Is the question paper of one MAH CET session different from another?
A:

The question paper of all the MAH CET MBA sessions are different from each other. The test pattern and structure of the MAH MBA CET question papers is the same but one of them could be slightly easier or tougher as no question is repeated in any session. Every MAH CET session has a question paper with unique questions. The number of questions per section also varies from one session to another. This makes one session of the MAH CET exam slightly tougher than another.

The MAH MBA CET exam is always held in multiple sessions. The number of sessions can differ from one year to another.

To negate the advantage or disadvantage to a student over another due to differences in the difficult levels, the MAH CET Cell normalizes scores of all candidates on a common scale to calculate percentile.

Q:   What are the topics from which Quantitative Aptitude questions are asked in MAH CET?
A:

The MAH MBA CET Quantitative Aptitude is a moderately difficult section. The topics from which the questions are asked include Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Partnership (Accounts), Profit and Loss, Mean, mode, median, Ratio and Proportion, In-Equations, Quadratic and Linear equations, Surds and Indices, Time-Speed-Distance, Number System, Geometric Progression, Binomial theorem, Inequalities, Work and Time, Percentage, Logarithms, Square Root and Cube Root, Probability and Simple Interest and Compound Interest.

This section also contains topics from data interpretation and data sufficiency. Normally, there are two sets of data interpretation questions based on a graph, table or pie chart. Most of the questions however are from Quantitative Aptitude, specifically Arithmetic. Aspirants must dedicate about 2-3 months to this section for complete preparation. They need to be thorough with all the concepts and have enough practice of various types of questions.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis: Abstract Reasoning

Abstract Reasoning was easy and highly scoring. The section included a mix of series, odd one out, figure counting, and pattern-based questions. Most questions were straightforward and similar to previous years, allowing students to attempt almost the entire section comfortably.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Day 2, Shift 2: Student Sentiment

Student feedback for Slot 4 remained consistent with earlier slots. The paper was easy to moderate but lengthy, with Logical Reasoning being the most time-consuming section.

A broader concern reported across multiple slots was the user interface and center experience. Students highlighted issues such as difficulty in viewing the entire question at once and inconsistent zoom functionality.

However, many students were able to adapt by adjusting the zoom settings, which helped fit the full question on the screen and improved readability.

Despite these challenges, many students reported:

  • 180+ attempts
  • A few flukes towards the end due to time constraints

MAH MBA CET 2026 Day 2, Shift 2: Overall Takeaway

Slot 4 of MAH MBA CET 2026 reinforced the overall pattern seen across slots so far.

  • The paper was not conceptually difficult but required speed and stamina
  • VARC and Abstract Reasoning were highly scoring sections
  • Quant was straightforward with the addition of Data Sufficiency
  • Logical Reasoning required efficient time management despite easy questions

Given the consistently easy-to-moderate level and high attempts reported, the cutoff for this slot is expected to be on the higher side.

It is important to note that MAH MBA CET follows a slot-wise percentile system, where candidates are evaluated relative to others in the same slot. Performance should therefore be assessed based on competition within the slot.
