Attempt TANCET Mock Tests

You should start preparing for TANCET as soon as the first notification is out. Most of the candidates start preparing even before the notification is out. The TANCET syllabus is what is already covered in your undergraduate course. So, you need not bother about the syllabus and special coaching. Have a good study plan for your exam. Start attempting mock tests at least once every week and then week by week increase the number of attempts. If you finish your entire syllabus then start revision and write mock tests daily. Later on, try to increase at least 2-3 mock tests per day and in the last days of your preparation, you must attempt 3-4 mock tests daily. Practice and revise previous years’ question papers and sample papers. Revise formula, important concept daily. In last-minute preparation, avoid mock tests and concentrate only on the revision of basic concepts and formulae. You can avoid mock tests before 3-4 days of examination.

Questions to Attempt in TANCET

There are 100 questions in the TANCET examination. One mark is given for a correct answer while 1/3rd mark is deducted for every incorrect response. So, keep in mind that there is a negative marking for every incorrect response. If you are confident about your answers then attempt as many as you can. Try to attempt a minimum of 50 questions. We can’t say exactly because mostly it depends on the question paper. If the question paper is too tough cut-off may reduce, if it easy cut-off may increase.

Common Mistakes in TANCET Exam

It is important to know the common mistakes aspirants make while preparing in the last few days and during the exam. First, you should know the pattern, marking scheme of examination. Most of the candidates feel tension and stress before last week or the last-minute preparation because they are scared of examination. Try to avoid overconfidence, don’t ignore important topics and sample papers revision. Avoid stress and tension, if possible try to meditate to relax your brain. You should have a sound sleep and take healthy diet. During the last days of your examination, don’t study new topics. Keep on revising known topics, concepts and formulae. Moreover, you should have self-confidence and should believe in yourself that you can do well in the examination. Avoid social media but not technology. Also, try to give intervals between your studies because continues reading may harm your brain. Before sleeping try to recall all the topics what you have learnt the entire day.

Maximise TANCET Score

The secret to maximising your score is to revise each and every concept. And also referring sample and previous years’ papers. Giving mock tests and improving your score day by day. If you ignore important concepts, previous years’ papers definitely you will lose marks so avoid these silly mistakes. Avoid guesswork because this guesswork may right or wrong, if wrong you may lose your score. Having analysis on previous years’ papers, if you are really thorough with old papers then you might have good analysis regarding syllabus like what is important and what are the topics should read.  Revise each and every topic as many times as you can and also give as many mock tests as you can. But please remember that giving mock tests is not important here, improving your score, recognising your mistakes and avoiding those mistakes is. If possible take suggestions from your seniors who scored well in the exam. Before examination be stress-free. If you are tensed, you may lose your score.

The TANCET cutoff is the minimum qualifying score required for admission. It is calculated considering the total number of applicants, available seats, and exam difficulty.

A good score in TANCET depends on the cutoff set by top colleges. Securing between 90 to 95 percentile marks as a good score.
