NBE has yet to clear its stand, stating the decision of NEET PG 2025 exam being held in single or double shift after supreme Court directed it to conduct NEET PG 2025 exam in single shift. The court believed the two shift exam has potential for unfairness and inconsistencies. The exam was scheduled on June 15, 2025.
Will or will not NEET PG 2025 be held in single shift? This is the focal point of discussion among candidates after supreme Court’s order. National Board of Examinations (NBE) has yet not issued an official notification, stating NEET PG 2025 exam in single shift. As the exam was scheduled on June 15 making all arrangements in around 10-12 days look little tough. On May 30, Supreme Court had directed NBE to make arrangements to conduct the exam in single shift to ensure complete transparency. "Any two question papers can never be said to be having an identical level of difficulty or ease," the top court said while hearing a petition, demanding single shift exam.

Challenges to Conduct NEET PG exam in Single Shift
NBE must be weighing its option whether the exam can be managed in single shift as all arrangements must have been completed till now. There are logistical challenges to make arrangements in such short notice. If the exam conducting body decides to conduct NEET PG 2025 in single shift, it has to increase number of centres across country. Unconfirmed sources say Tata Consulting Services (TCS) has been approached for the same. Another important thing is security measures including signal jammers and surveillance systems. These are important measures in order to prevent cheating at NEET PG 2025 centres.
Will NBE Extend NEET PG 2025 Date to Make Arrangements?
Though no such official reports are there, stating NEET PG 2025 exam will be delayed, there is a chance of the same. The reason being more than 800 centres have to be arranged to conduct the exam in single shift and to do so in such sort span of time looks impossible. NBE may ask Supreme Court for some time to make arrangements for NEET PG 2025 single shift. “SC has given time to NBEMS to confirm if they could conduct the exam on 15th June. We urge the NBEMS authorities to provide a clear date soon, so aspirants can focus on their preparation without any uncertainty.”, Dr Akshay Dongardive, National President, FAIMA, said on social media platform X, previously twitter.

Candidates supporting the single shift exam give the logic NBE has been conducting NEET PG exam in single shift till last to last year.
