Formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), Delhi Technological University (DTU) is ISO-certified. DTU offers 21 undergraduate, 36 postgraduate and PhD programs in the streams of Science, Engineering, Management, Architecture, etc. It has 6 centres and 18 academic departments. DTU NAAC Grade is 'A+ ', with a CGPA of 3.47. Some of the key highlights of the Delhi College of Engineering are mentioned below:

DTU Delhi Cut off 2026
DTU cutoff 2026 has been released for BTech admission. Students are admitted to the BTech course based on valid JEE Main entrance exam scores, followed by JAC Delhi counselling. The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi releases the JAC Delhi cutoff in the form of opening and closing ranks. For 2026, four regular and one spot round seat allotment will be released. More cutoff-related details are below:
- During the DTU cutoff 2026 for BTech, the JEE Main Round 4 closing ranks varied from 7060 to 25303 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. For the same category, the cutoff ranged between 14806 and 88822 under the HS quota. As per the Round 4 admissions, CSE was the most sought-after BTech specialisation for admission for the General category under both AI and HS quotas.
- DTU University MBA cutoff 2026 has been released for the third round. CMAC released the cutoff list based on CAT/ MAT/ Graduation percentage, with one year of experience to shortlist the candidates for admission. As per the third round, the cutoff rank is 149 for students belonging to the General AI category.

While admission to MBA in Family Business & Entrepreneurship and MBA in Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Venture Development depends on the candidates' performance at the undergraduate level and in the interview conducted by the university campus.

The study during engineering is comparatively easier than that during JEE and so one can easily cope up.

Spot round counselling is scheduled to continue until July 31st this year. JAC will release the result of spot rounds in August first week for all candidates.
No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. To get into DTU, candidates must score decent marks or at least around 220 or above marks in JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.
Yes, Delhi Technological University accepts only Class 12 scores for admission to the BBA and BA (Economics) courses offered by it at the undergraduate levels. While admission to all the other UG and PG courses is subject to national-level entrance exams and couselling process, there courses offer direct merit-based admission to the students. Registration via JAC Delhi is a two-step online process where students have to fill out the online application form and then make the payment of the application fee. At the UG level, Delhi Technological University also offers a four-year BDes programme in Design. Interested candidates can apply online on the official admission portal of DTU. Delhi Technological University offers a four-year BTech programme across 14 specialisations along with two BTech Evening programmes to the students. The duration of the BTech evening programme is also four years. The specialisations available under the regular BTech course includes CSE, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Engineering Physics, Mathematics and Computing specialisations, among others. Additionally, the specialisations available under BTech (Evening) course include Civil and Electrical Engineering. Students seeking admission must have a valid score in the JEE Main entrance exam.
