Cyber Safety Education on Safer Internet Day 2025
The Computer Centre at IIT Kanpur celebrated Safer Internet Day 2025 by hosting an insightful cybersecurity awareness workshop at Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kanpur. Aligned with the global theme "Together for a Better Internet," the event engaged around 95 students and teachers in an informative session focused on digital safety and responsible Internet usage.
The workshop covered a wide array of topics, including emerging cyber threats, vital cyber hygiene practices, an analysis of recent cyber incidents, and in-depth guidance on reporting mechanisms. Participants actively engaged in hands-on demonstrations and interactive sessions, reinforcing their understanding of safe internet practices.
Dr. Debpriya Basu Roy, Assistant Professor of Computer Science Engineering at IIT Kanpur, conducted an engaging session for around 95 participants, including students and teachers. The workshop highlighted key issues in the current digital landscape, shedding light on both common and advanced cyber threats that young internet users may face.

It highlights IIT Kanpur's dedication to social responsibility and its active role in advancing digital literacy within educational institutions.
