The counseling process may vary slightly from year to year, but here are the general steps involved:

  1. Publication of Rank Card and Merit List:

    • After the entrance exam results are declared, OUAT will publish rank cards and merit lists on its official website.
    • Candidates can check their ranks and the date and time for their counseling session.
  2. Online Registration for Counseling:

    • Candidates must register online for the counseling process by visiting the official OUAT website.
    • During registration, candidates may need to provide personal and academic details.
    • They will also need to choose their preferred courses and colleges.
  3. Choice Filling and Locking:

    • Candidates will have the opportunity to fill in their choices of programs and colleges based on their ranks.
    • It's crucial to carefully select and prioritize the choices according to their preferences.
    • After making choices, candidates should lock their selections within the specified timeframe.
  4. Document Verification:

    • On the day of counseling, candidates must report to the designated counseling center with all the required documents in both original and photocopy formats.
    • Documents typically include mark sheets, certificates, rank card, admit card, category certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents.
  5. Seat Allotment:

    • Based on the candidate's rank, choices, and availability of seats, the OUAT authorities will allocate seats for various programs.
    • The seat allotment result will be published online, and candidates can check their allotted seats and colleges.

    • After seat allotment, candidates must pay the admission fees to confirm their seats.
    • The payment can usually be made through online modes or bank challan, as specified by the university.
