As per the students' reactions, the overall difficulty level of the CTET 2022-23 exam Paper 1 (Shift 1) was easy to moderate. Some find it lengthy, while others find it moderate-basically, the EVS and Language sections. So, we can say that the reaction was mixed, but the overall difficulty level of CTET 2022-23 Shift 1 Paper 1 was easy to moderate as per the feedback of most of the students.

CTET January 12, 2023 Paper 1 Shift 1: Students’ First Reactions
Shiksha.com asked some candidates about today's CTET 2022-23 Paper 1 (Shift 1) and the reactions were:
- The overall difficulty level of the CTET 2022-23 exam Paper 1 was easy to moderate.
- Questions based on Animals was also asked like on elephant.
- Maths paper was easy as per some students, but some find the pedagogy of mathematics difficult. In Maths, roman number, square root (parimaap ques), pattern, circle, pie chart, clock, BODMAS, etc. questions were asked.
- Some of the CDP questions were indirect, moderate, theory-based questions, Piaget, learning and development, family, NCF 2005, NEP 2020, and so on.
- Some students find the CTET Exam Paper 1 lengthy, and scrolling on a computer was difficult.
- In Sanskrit language, passage asked from importance of water, river, etc.
- What is NIPUN?
- In EVS, the difficulty level was easy, question on elephant, birds (Matching ques), Iron deficiency, classical language, longitude, latitude, hibernation, etc. were asked.

Yes, you can apply for CTET Paper 1 only if you make sure that you meet the minimum teacher education requirement for Classes 1 to 5.

The major difference between CTET and UPTET is that when candidates clear the CTET exam, it provides a national-level eligibility certificate that can be used across India, whereas clearing the UPTET exam provides a state-level eligibility certificate that is only valid within Uttar Pradesh state.
