CSIR NET 2019 exam is just around the corner. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) exam on December 15 in two shifts.
With only few days left for the exam, it is important that candidates know what to expect on the day of the paper. Therefore, given below are some important CSIR UGC NET exam day guidelines that candidates must go through to avoid any hassle on the day of the paper.
CSIR NET Exam Day Guidelines
Know what and what not to carry to the test centre on the day of the exam. Also, check important CSIR UGC NET exam day instructions that candidates must follow to avoid any hassle.
CSIR NET 2019 – Important Documents to Carry
Documents that candidates must not forget to carry to the allotted test centre are:
- Admit card: Candidates must not forget to carry the printout of their CSIR NET admit card to the test centre. Candidates should preferably take a coloured printout of the admit card on an A4 size paper.
- Passport size photos: Candidates must carry a passport size photograph to the exam centre; required to be pasted in the attendance sheet. It may be noted that the photograph should be the same as uploaded by candidates at the time of filling the application form.
- Photo ID proof: Candidates should carry a valid and original photo ID proof issued by the Government of India to the test centre. Documents that candidates can carry as the photo ID proof are:

- PwD certificate: Candidates belonging to the Persons with Disability (PwD) category must carry their PwD certificate issued by the competent authority.
CSIR NET 2019 – Things Not Allowed at the Exam Centre
The list of items that are strictly prohibited inside the CSIR UGC NET exam hall are:

Note: Candidates suffering from diabetes are allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) and transparent water inside the exam hall.
CSIR NET 2019 Exam Day Instructions
Some of the important points that candidates must remember are:
- Candidates should visit the allotted CSIR NET exam centre a day before the exam to get an idea about the distance and time required to reach the venue on time.
- Candidates should reach the exam centre exactly at the time mentioned on the admit card, which is typically two hours before the commencement of the exam. It may be noted that the gate of the exam centre closes half an hour before the commencement of the exam.
- Candidates should not carry any personal belongings to the test centre. The centre authorities might not provide any provision for safe-keep of the personal belongings of candidates. Also, “NTA will not be responsible for any belongings stolen or lost at the premises,” reads the official notification.
- Candidates should not carry any prohibited item inside the exam centre. In case, any candidate is found with any prohibited item (listed above) inside the centre, his/her candidature will be cancelled and s/he will be disqualified to appear for future CSIR NET exams.
- Candidates should not carry pen/pencil inside the exam hall. NTA will provide blank sheets and a pen/pencil for rough work to all candidates inside the exam hall.
- Candidates should take their seat immediately after entering the exam hall and should login into their systems and read the instructions carefully before the commencement of the paper
- Candidates should not leave the exam hall before the total time allotted for the exam ends
- Before leaving the exam hall, candidates should handover their CSIR UGC NET admit card, rough sheet and pen/pencil to the invigilator on duty
- Candidates should not involve in any unfair practices during the exam
- Candidates should not smoke, spit etc. inside the exam hall

The CSIR NET 2026 Provisional Answer Key for the June session is expected to be released around 7 to 10 days after the exam. It will be released at csirnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates will also get time to check their responses and raise an objections if any.
