- The exam is of a single three hours duration. There is no break between the papers
Revise the CSIR NET Important Topics
Candidates can know the important topics of the CSIR NET exam by going through the detailed syllabus of all parts of the paper. Have a look at the highlights of Part A, B and C of the question paper below.
| Part Name |
Highlights |
|---|---|
| Part A |
Part A contains questions related to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles, etc. |
| Part B |
Part B contains subject-related MCQs covering the topics given in the syllabus. |
| Part C |
Part C contains higher-order questions that test candidates' knowledge of scientific concepts. These questions are analytical in nature where a candidate is expected to apply scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution. |
Analyse the Solved Mock Tests & Question Papers
The CSIR NET is conducted online. Candidates who have already attempted the previous years’ CSIR NET question papers should analyse the same to know their weak areas and improvise accordingly. This will help candidates in brushing up their preparation level and same is with the mock test.
Time Management and Accuracy
Before appearing for the exam, candidates should devise a proper strategy to attempt the CSIR NET question paper on time with high accuracy. If a candidate gets stuck in a particular question, he or she should skip it and move to another question. As there is negative marking in the exam for wrong answers, candidates should try to answer with accuracy and mark the most appropriate option as their answer.
Read the Questions Carefully
Candidates should read the questions carefully before marking their answers for the exam. Sometimes due to anxiety, candidates tend to mark the incorrect option as answer without reading the complete question. This ends up inviting negative markings, thus, resulting in lower CSIR NET Result 2025.
Carry CSIR NET Admit Card & Documents to Centres
Candidates need to carry the CSIR NET Admit Card 2025 along with the photo ID proof to the exam centres on the day of the examination. Those who forget to carry the documents to the exam centres are not allowed to appear for the exam.
Don’t Stress & Stay Calm
Candidates should not stress themselves before the day of examination. Appearing for the exam with a calm and relaxed mind helps candidates in delivering their best.
