CTET Exam Analysis 2024 Paper 1 (14 Dec)

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the 20th edition of the CTET 2024 exam on December 14, 2024. The CTET exam was held in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 shift was conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The CTET exam analysis 2024 is provided here based on student reactions. The CTET is an easy exam to crack if candidates have prepared well in advance. The difficulty level of the CTET question paper is generally moderate. The CTET exam difficulty level varies on the basis of the question paper. Candidates should be well prepared in order to crack the exam without any hassle.
Q:   How can I start preparation for the CTET exam?
A:
You can start CTET preparation by thoroughly going through the CTET exam pattern and CTET syllabus. The CTET exam pattern makes candidates familiar with the structure of question paper. On the other hand, CTET syllabus makes candidates aware of the topics from which questions are asked in the exam. After going through the exam pattern and syllabus, candidates should ensure studying each topic prescribed by the CBSE in the CTET syllabus.
Q:   Which subject holds maximum weightage in CTET exam?
A:
Almost all the sections of the CTET exam hold equal weightage. In CTET Paper 1, all subjects including Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies hold equal weightage. However, in CTET Paper 2, the Mathematics & Science and Social Studies/Social Science section holds maximum weightage of 60 marks.

Q:   What is the difficulty level of CTET exam?
A:
The CTET exam is generally easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The difficulty level depends on the nature of the questions asked in the exam. The CTET exam is conducted for two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper carries 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each. Out of the total 150 marks, 90 marks are considered qualifying for the General category and 82 are considered qualifying or CTET cut-off for Reserved categories such as SC/ ST/ OBC.
Q:   What is a good score in CTET?
A:

Obtaining more than 60 per cent marks is considered as a good score in the CTET exam. Out of the total 150 marks, 90 marks are minimum qualifying marks for the General category and 82 are minimum qualifying marks for Reserved categories such as SC/ ST/ OBC. Those who score over and above the minimum qualifying marks are considered a good scorers.

Q:   Is coaching necessary for the CTET exam?
A:
No, coaching is not necessary for cracking the CTET exam. Candidates can have their own well-thought-out CTET preparation strategy to crack the exam. Also, solving previous year CTET question papers and attempting mock tests is always a plus in preparation. Moreover, there are a lot of materials and guidance available online, you do not need a coaching but you really need to work hard to crack the CTET exam.
