Understanding the difference between CUET marks and percentile is important for analysing the performance after the release of the CUET answer key. While CUET marks are actual score, the percentile indicates performance relative to other candidates, which is considered for admissions.

CUET Marks refer to the raw score a candidate obtains in the exam. These are calculated by adding the marks for all correct answers (based on the official marking scheme) across each subject. On the other hand, CUET Percentile is a comparative measure that shows how well a candidate has performed in relation to other test-takers. It is calculated by dividing the number of candidates who scored equal to or less than your score by the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam, and then multiplying by 100. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the correct Answer Key to be used by NTA
