DTU BTech admissions are based on the JEE Main entrance exam. Find below the complete DTU BTech admission process 2025:

Step 1: DTU Entrance Exam

For admission to the flagship course BTech, admission is done based on JEE Main scores, and the entire process of counselling is conducted by JAC Delhi. Therefore, candidates to apply to their desired course, must first clear the course specific entrance exams.

Step 2: DTU BTech Application Process 2025

The application process is completely online. Candidates seeking admission to DTU BTech are required to apply via the JAC Delhi website. JAC registration is a two-step online process where students have to fill out the online application form and then make the payment of application fees. Students should note that JAC Delhi allows additional registrations and changes in the course preference before every round. The registration fee is INR 1,500.

Step 3: DTU Interview/ Counselling round

Shortlisted Candidates are called for the Interview and counselling rounds, based on their merit performance in the qualifying examination.

Dream tier 1 college DTU.

Placements: Almost everyone is placed in DTU, no one is left. Some are placed on campus, and the rest are placed off campus. The package is good. Mango is the most famous company that comes to DTU every year. FANG internship on campus is very tough to get but you can apply for it or for an off-campus internship.

Infrastructure: In my department in DTU electrical engineering, there are many labs, power electronics, microcontroller, and all. There is a big library in our college. Classrooms are good with full AC. Wi-Fi is available with good speed. Hostel management is overall good.

Placements: In my course, according to me, last year the placement rate is about 70-80% (if you have a good CGPA, i.e., at least 8+). The average is about 12-13, and the top offer is 33 LPA. Regarding internships, I cannot give you such details. Top companies include Tata, BMW, etc.

Infrastructure: We have smart classrooms and both AC and non-AC hostels with proper ventilation. The classrooms are air-conditioned, and the three-floored library has full Wi-Fi access, although the Wi-Fi might not work properly on the second and third floors. The quality of food given is not so good, but you can't expect it to be that good at 3400 a month for four meals. The sports areas offered by the hostels are not good at all.

Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and experienced, they are knowledgeable, and if you are into academics, you can learn a lot from them. The course is relevant; in the first year, you might not feel like you are industry-ready, but gradually, they will turn you into that guy. The exams were neither too hard nor too easy, I would say they are moderate. The pass percentage is 35% if absolute or varies if relative.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted a college in Delhi, and at my JEE rank, this is all I get near my home. I would consider the course better if there are people at the same level. People at the same level means if I have scored a percentile of 97.6 in JEE and then I got here, there should be at least others with a 96 percentile in the same course, but you will find people with a 70 percentile too. The fests are good, and the connectivity is fine, not good. Extracurricular activities are at a good stage.

The campus is good. The salary packages are lower in core branches.

Placements: The placement options for core branches are average to low, while the campus environment is decent but sometimes overcrowded. There are a lot of faculty members, and the academic workload is relatively easy. However, very few students secure on-campus internships in biotech; those in technical branches have better chances of landing roles as software development engineers (SDEs), analysts, or consultants, with limited opportunities in core roles.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connectivity is unreliable, and the labs in my department are either average or below par. The classrooms are generally in poor condition, except for the AB building. The food spots are excellent, sports facilities are adequate, and the hostel accommodations are good, though the mess is not up to the mark. The library is small and often overcrowded, but the available books are satisfactory. Air conditioning works well, but the Wi-Fi issues persist.

Faculty: Most instructors are Ph.D. holders, and the teaching mainly focuses on theory, particularly in core branches. The theoretical approach does not adequately prepare students for the industry, necessitating additional learning outside the curriculum. Semester exams tend to be average in difficulty—not too easy, but not overly challenging either. The passing percentage is around 33% to 35%, and the grading system follows a CGPA format.

Placements: In the previous year, the rate of students who got placement was 72% in my course. Highest, lowest, and average package offered in my course are 80 LPA, 10 LPA, and 20 LPA. Top recruiters are Google, Microsoft, Uber, etc. 90% of students get an internship every year, for those who applied for it.

Infrastructure: This college is known for its infrastructure, and it is also known for its area management because in this college, everything is in perfect place. They have high-speed Wi-Fi everywhere throughout the campus. Full air-conditioned labs and a huge Library in which all kinds of course-related books are available, they have everything in college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and some of them are so highly qualified that they even taught abroad and came back because they saw Swadesh. They provide quality-level teaching, but some of them are not that good at teaching. Course curriculum is very relevant, as it helps to make students industry-ready.

Other: Events are at the level of IIT Delhi, not on that level, but you can relate them as best.

Placements: Placement of this college is one of the best key features that help metro choose this. At least 70% students get placed, and companies offer a 40 LPA package, and an average package of 20 LPA. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Google, Uber, Zomato, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is better than some of the NITS and some of the IITs, and it is very good, like everything is in one place, you will not get confused, as all classrooms have good Wi-Fi, and AC available in every room. Library is fully stocked with books.

Dissatisfied because of faculty, good placements, but nice enough infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Around 60 percent of students are placed overall. Some students often go off-campus for placements. The highest recorded package was 80 LPA from some quant company. The average package was around 24 LPA. The lowest was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Adobe, Uber, Apple, TCS, and many known companies. From my course, around 10 percent got internships. Top roles were quantitative researcher, SWE.

Infrastructure: Labs for Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics are provided with high-tech computer systems for Computer Science students. Library services are well enough; books can be issued without any problem, the sitting arrangement is good. Classrooms are well-lit and provided with AC service. Wi-Fi is provided in every room.

Faculty: Teachers are more than qualified. All are Ph.D. holders, researching in their fields. Teachers are helpful to all students in solving doubts and holding extra classes. The course curriculum is around 50-60% relevant. However, it does make students industry-ready through B.Tech projects. Semester exams are easy if one studies regularly. However, the mass percentage is below average.
