IIT Delhi is the best college.
Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in good companies out of those who want to be placed. The lowest package offered last year for students was 10 LPA. The highest package is 3.2 LPA. The average package at IIT Delhi this year is 20 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Reliance, TCS, Google, IBM, etc., visit here for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with a computer service center, which is connected to world-class internet connections. There are decent lecture halls and brilliant labs with machinery, a chemistry lab, an electrical lab, etc. The central library is full of students preparing for IAS, IPS, IES, and government. Examination aspirations throughout the year include a complete Wi-Fi zone on the whole campus. The mess and night canteens of every hostel are just sufficient to eat. Sports at our college are very great. It has hospital facilities and for serious injuries, AIIMS is also there for us.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful while some of the professors are just here to show their power or dominance in front of B.Tech students. The grading system of my college is not a great deal for those students who just do not get their expected grades by only 5 or 1 mark. Semester exams are much more difficult than the quizzes and labs that happen frequently.
Other: I have a personal interest in Physics so I chose this course and I made the right decision by choosing this college. Practical labs are very good and there is a lot to learn. Fests and events are also organised by students to refresh their minds and to have fun.

    Absolutely satisfied with my college.
Placements: As of April 2024, 1,050 job offers were made to students in 2024 batch, including more than 50 international offers. The top recruiters included Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Ola Electric, and Air India. The core (technical) sector was the top recruiting sector, with 42% of students got placed with average and the highest packages. The average package was Rs. 36.9 Lacs per annum, and the highest package was Rs. 1 crore per annum. Students received 100% internships from the recruitment companies, with a stipend of Rs. 4.04 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided are top notch and infrastructure is very good and beautiful as you will expect from an IIT. Wi-Fi is available at most of the places. Labs are also good. Classrooms are big and have good ventilation. Library is so large and have most of the books. Hostel is somewhat crowded (3 people in 1 room), mess food is average but better than others. Sports and games are encouraged in hostels.
Faculty: The professors here are very helpful and they have good knowledge about their respective fields. But you will be able to take benefit from them only if you are interested in learning from them, because sometimes they do not explain things properly. The course curriculum is specially designed after considering present demands. Our course is an interdisciplinary course made using some courses from Computer and mechanical. Semester exams are very difficult as heard from seniors specially APL.
Other: My branch is Engineering and Computational Mechanics. The number of seats in this branch is 40, out of which 32 are boys and 8 are girls.

Good college with best campus life.
Placements: For placements of my batch, only about 40-45% of the people in my course are placed. The highest package would be ~50LPA the lowest would be ~8-9LPA and the average around 10LPA. Top recruiting companies are IT and top roles are IT/Analytics or further research prospects. The majority got internships in my course and some did research projects in mechanics.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is very well maintained with the lab equipment being up-to-date and top notch. The department is equipped with all the latest technology. The hostels are as much as you can expect a hostel to be. Basic amenities are provided but you can't expect it to be very lavish. The hostel serves the purpose of living a basic life.
Faculty: The teachers in my department were very passionate about the course and also very knowledgeable. All the professors were Ph.D. qualified and knew their stuff. The course curriculum was also relevant as it combined both mechanics with the current ML part making students industry-ready. The semester exams were not easy I’d say but the pass percentage was 30% which was pretty doable.

    A value-for-money course.
Placements: Year 2023 was the first placement year as this course was started in 2019. This batch has 40 students. Having a small batch size ensures an interactive environment with friends and professors, unlike CSE or the electrical department. Last year, the highest package was about 40 Lacs per annum, and I have no idea about the lowest package. But personally, I had confirmed with my professor that almost every student got more than 1 Lacs per month as their in-hand salary. 38 students were placed out of 40. It is more of an industry-based course. Talking about top recruiting companies, most of the students were hired by WIPRO.
Infrastructure: This course comes under the APPLIED MECHANICS department. It has its own labs and instruments and a separate building. Its main focus is on solid and fluid mechanics. Labs are well-equipped and have a 24/7 Wi-Fi connection with a limit of 10GB/day. Professors take our lectures on LHC, IIT Delhi. Moreover, the hostel is average, but you will have a good time with your friends. Hostel food is delicious and healthy. A night mess is available for every hostel, which runs from 10 PM to 4 AM for night owls.
Faculty: Yes, all professors are knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is fabulous. Yes, the course curriculum is totally relevant to industry needs. This course is a little bit harder compared to chemical and mechanical, but it has more job opportunities than them. However, don't get confused about the word "computational" in the name. It is not related to computer science, although the course includes machine learning.
Other: I chose this course to extend my knowledge in the usage of physics in daily life things.

I am happy to study in this college.
Placements: 67% of students in our course were placed this year. The highest package for our course is 45 LPA, and the lowest package is around 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Air India, American Express, Hydrobots, Jaguar Land Rover India Limited, Google, and Piramal Finance. Around 40% of students got internships in my course, and they were done at high-tech companies.
Infrastructure: My course provided excellent infrastructure for labs, classrooms, library, Wi-Fi, etc. Everything in our college is excellent; the food quality is good, and the college provides a free medical facility 24/7 for students in the IITD hospital. The sports facilities are also excellent here.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and very knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is outstanding. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. The exams are a bit difficult, but if we are regular, they become manageable. The pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I like the courses because they have both core and technical content. So far, everything is good. Events and festivals in our college are amazing: good crowd, nice connectivity among each other, etc.

Q:   Does class 12 marks matter in the eligibility criteria of IIT JAM?
    A:

The eligibility requirements for IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) did not involve a minimum percentage or marks in Class 12 for the majority of participating institutes. The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM are largely concerned with the bachelor's degree and the minimum marks or CGPA necessary to secure in that degree.

Candidates for the IIT JAM must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55 per cent aggregate or 5.5 CGPA/CPI. Apart from it, candidates also need to submit a physical fitness certificate at the time of admissions. Candidates found unfit to pursue his/her science course can be denied admission by the admitting institute.

For the most up-to-date information, consult the official IIT JAM website or the information brochure.

    A:

IIT Delhi accepts the IIT JAM entrance exam, followed by counselling rounds for MSc admission across various specialisations. For Round 1 admission, the minimum and maximum ranks required for admission ranged from 9 to 513, respectively, for students in the General AI quota. Therefore, if you belong to the general category, you can certainly secure a seat at IIT Delhi. However, students must check which MSc specialisations are available with a cutoff rank of 100 and below, as cutoff ranks differ for various specialisations, ranks, and categories. Tabulated below is the IIT Delhi JAM first round cutoff 2025 for all MSc specialisations, providing students with the information needed to make an informed decision.

Q:   Will I be allotted a merit rank if I don't meet cut-off marks for Part A in UCEED?
    A:

The Part A cut-off marks will be used to shortlist candidates. Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only for shortlisted candidates. So, if the candidate fails to meet the qualifying cut-off criteria, his or her Part B answer boolets will not be evaluated. Consequently, the candidate will not be assigned a merit rank. It may be noted that to participate in the UCEED 2025 counseling process, the candidate needs to have a merit rank. The cut-off marks for Part A will be released around the 2nd week of February 2025.

Q:   What is the IIT JAM cutoff for MSc at IIT Delhi? I belong to OBC category.
    A:

The IIT Delhi MSc cutoff 2025 via IIT JAM has been released for different categories of students within the AI quota. The cutoffs were published as opening and closing ranks for various MSc specialisations. For OBC category students, the first-round cutoff ranks ranged from 60 to 986. Therefore, candidates seeking admission must aim to secure a minimum rank of 60 or lower to be eligible for MSc admission at IIT Delhi.
