I am satisfied in all aspects except food.

Placements: Almost 90% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 17.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 9 LPA, and the average salary package offered is12 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Intel, Synopsys, Xilinx, MediaTek, AMD, Cadence, Qualcomm visited the campus. Top roles offered are analog design engineer, digital design engineer, verification engineer. The highest salary package offered in our course is 17.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 9 LPA. Almost 90% of students got an internship.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in all hostels, from 6 am to 12:30 am, and restricted Wi-Fi is available in some academic blocks. Classrooms are adequately large. Labs have all required software and hardware and are adequately large, and the facilities are good. All the stuff needed for daily life is available in the campus shops itself. A shopping complex just outside the campus provides for the rest. Quality of food in a mess is okay. There is a lot of various options available for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Many food stalls are available on the campus. There are some popular franchises too, and medical facilities are also available. However, they are expensive, and doctors are not always the best. Courts for most sports is present.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The quality of teaching is excellent, and all the teachers are very well qualified. The entire curriculum is derived from the industry as all subjects cover some aspect of industrial work. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready.

Other: I have chosen this course because VLSI is the backbone of all industries today, be it or mechanical. It means that there are plenty of opportunities to grow in the industry. They should improve less intensive coursework. Two major annual events are organised and several minor events throughout the year. College connectivity is good Near Katpadi railway station and connectivity by buses too. There are clubs for extracurricular activities.

I am proud to be alumni of VIT M.Tech.

Placements: Almost 90% of the students got internships in reputed MNCs like Intel, Qualcomm, ST, Synopsys, etc. Most of them got converted into the same company. Almost 98% of the students got good placements at the VLSI domain after completing a 2-year course. The salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA to 18 LPA. Intel was the top recruiting company.

Infrastructure: VLSI department was amazing. It provides all the latest industry-leading tool licenses. The infrastructure is excellent. Labs are well-maintained. Hostels were good. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. I was happy with the food served in the mess compared to PG food in metro cities.

Faculty: Some professors were good. All the professors were PhD holders. Every year professors take feedback from MNC managers to upgrade the course curriculum, and it is focused more on practicals. The course curriculum was as per the latest industry trend, and update every year.

Other: Overall, I am happy with my course and university selection. M.Tech VLSI students were highly occupied with assignments and lab tasks. I didn't get much time to enjoy fest and events. We were in college for just 1year, and in the second year, we went for an internship.
