
Indian Talent Olympiad Exam Pattern 2025-26: All the eligible and interested students must go through the exam patterns of all the ITO exams 2025-26. The Indian Talent Olympiad (ITO) is a national level competition exam conducted in various subjects like Science, Mathematics, English, and others. Students who are studying in class 1 to 10 can apply in both online and offline.
The Olympiad exams consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each paper has a different number of questions depending on the subject and class. The exam tests conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. Time is usually limited to 45 minutes to 1 hour. The exam is available in both online and offline modes.
Students from class 1 to 10 studying in any recognised school in India can participate. Both government and private school students can apply for it. They can register for the ITO test individually or through their schools.

Indian Talent Olympiad Exam Pattern 2026: Exam Mode
ITO 2022-23 will be conducted in two formats— Online and Offline. Students participating individually need to follow the online exam dates of slot-1 and slot-2. Schools can select between online and offline modes of exam and can follow the dates accordingly.
- Students can take tests between 10 am and 5 pm on the particular test date
- Test Duration 25 Minutes per Test
- Test Questions 30 Format -MCQ
For classes, 1 to 4 there are 35 questions and for classes 5 to 10 there are 50 questions. Refer to the below table to learn the marks allocation:

Online Mode
During the online exam, the audio of the students will be recorded along with the video. There will be eyeball recognition and the image of the students will also be captured. Apart from that, multi-browser detection will be enabled to avoid any unfair means.
The students' report copy will be sent to the schools. A student will also be allowed to retake the exam, in case of persistent network issues.
